I did not say Thrall would, I said Sylvanas does not need anyone to tell her to commit genocide on a race meaning no harm, so
I was suprised it was Garrosh behind the attack.
You were surprised Garrosh would order an attack on the Alliance?

I think they intend to develop Thrall in cataclysm to show just why he is a great leader.
I don't even know what you want as a leader, maybe someone who thinks irrationally and impulsive, without thought or planning, just for the effort of wanting to pwn someone?
Put it this way, if Thrall was a raid leader, he'd look up all tactics on boss encounters and then sort how to position everyone.
If Garrosh was a raid leader, he'd run into the boss as arms warrior, telling all classes with healing powers to heal him, all cloth wearers to make bread and water, and then when the raid wipes blame it on them.
I think the sad thing, is that there are actual players that behave like that... I agree, tauren moo man your acting like this game is real life, you really need to step it down a notch and go do something else if this game affect you this much. By the way im on your side i don't like that garrosh is leading the horde, but im not going to get into a big fight about it and wine about it so much, nor would i really care, id still play the game for fun.
Well its nice to know someone shares my thought on this kind of thing, my whole take a lot of lore comes from being a long time comic fan, and getting to engrossed in the story I care about the fate of the characters, same with any literature I read. And with something like Warcraft, I've been a fan of it now going on over 5 years, so I've developed a strong feel for the characters, both like and dislike. Thats just my MO.
So I won't stand down on saying having Garrosh leading the horde is like a punch in the face to me, and I well I'll ride the wave, I don't like where it might lead, and will speak out against it if it comes up.

Here's something of a perspective on the situation: Suppose Garrosh were to replace Thrall, then order Cairne's death. Why would the Horde stay together? Any leader who remained allied to Hellscream must be wondering whether Garrosh would ecide to have their head next. The Tauren have just been betrayed, and though they are generally kind, it seems unlike them to just forgive and forget. The Forsaken are not fond of being treated as non-people, and have already served under one brutal tyrant. The Blood Elves only joined the Horde out of necessity. If defeating the Lich King makes the Plaguelands any easier to control, then they could quite easily work with the Argent Dawn to control their own borders, and the Forsaken to keep the Alliance out of the north. The trolls are kind of stuck until they can take their own lands, but since part of the planned Cataclysm is to have Desolace bloom again, they have somewhere fertile, heavily troll-biased in population, and remote enough from both sides that Garrosh would find it hard to spare an army to take them back. So that's why we Horde loregeeks are upset at the idea that Garrosh, as Warchief, has Cairne killed: because it's hard to see how the Horde continues to exist as anything but a reign of terror, and a lot of players want no part in that.

Its beginning to look more and more likely that the changing face of cataclysm will change the face of the horde we know and love for the worst.
Thrall no longer leading the horde with his wisdom and brilliant demenor.
Cairne being killed when blizzard didn't even develop him in wow, and only used him as a quick kill for a plot point.
Garrosh taking control of the horde and making it into the kind of horde it was in rise of the horde, mainly stupid, bloodthursty and only want for fighting.
I must say when the details were first leeked I was looking forward to cataclysm in how they intended to shake things up..
But now futher details being brought to light, how much blizzard intends to change the horde in this.. I'm actully feeling depressed about it.
Garrosh isn't a character I'm happy to see or think of being the leader of my faction. Well him being there will inject further 'war' into warcraft, I think to mucy is being sacrificed to make that happen. Thrall is the reason I admire the horde so much in how he acts and what he does, the kind of leader I'm proud to serve... Garrosh is the opposite. I don't give a crap whos son he is, neither does anyone else, except those who want more war.
All I can hope is, with the fickle promise made by blizzard, that cataclysm will only last a year before the next expansion, and these changes to my faction will be dealt with after that.
If sh!t goes down ill just change to alliance. problem solved. Game wont survive much longer with these changes anyways, methinks.
Methinks Zullan doth protest too much.
Things will change from 3.2 to Cataclysm. Just watch.
If sh!t goes down, sh!t will go up again... O_o
I like the Garrosh raid boss thing, and I also like Garrosh becoming a better guy. We'll see.

maybe Saurfang will keep a close eye on him like he did in warsong hold
Garrosh does respect (or fear 0.o) Saurfang. I think Saurfang will be the one who comes through on his promise.

Anyway, Garrsoh is essentially an Orcish Wyrnn, and he will disrupt the moral equilibrium of the two sides, because he'll be less understanding than Thrall was and fan the flames of war with the Alliance more, though peace would probably never come anyway within Wyrnn's reign.
while i agree how varian and thrall are two sides of the same coin they both present differing paths and veiws on how to best serve there people thrall:passive and optimistic varian:defensive and weary.
as for garrosh being an orcish varian no garrosh has no reason for his renegade warmongering even to the point of disobeying thrall openly while varian has more then a few reasons to hate the orcs and horde in general and can be dissuaded from war.
also i think as ive said before saurfang might be in mourning of his only son and thus drowning his sorrows.
Blizzard must be watching this..
Blizzard: Look at them debating over our fictional reality. We have them...Dance, puppets! DANCE!
