ok, in 3.1.3 overkill regens 30% more energy in 20 secs instead of reducing moves cost by 10 for 6 secs.
bad nerf for pvp (we all knew it was a little op) and also a poor change for pve, since it affects minimally our dps, and vanishing will be not so useful like it was before (im not counting aggro problems since i dont have any.)

Well I don't want to jump to hasty conclusions, but I find the new overkill a good thing for PVE.
According to my spreadsheet, I have a 12 eps rate (energy per second)(in the cycles tab, not sure if that's where to look for the real deal). So, with a 30% bonus to that, that gives a total of 15.6 eps in the first 20 seconds of breaking stealth, meaning that by the end of those 20 seconds, I'll have an extra 72 energy.
And according to my talents, 72 energy = 1 Mutilate + 1 Rupture more or less :) .
I'd like more opinions on this, but I find the new Overkill will give us a smoother starting rotation, but will soften our Rogue Burst™

Actually, I wonder how new Overkill will react to Focused Attacks. If it will increase energy regeneration gained from crit attacks.

I don't see how old Overkill was NOT a DPS cooldown for mutilate? Pool energy and vanish to gain Overkill and attack.

with Relentless Strikes, old overkill is granting more than 60energy with the use of Rupture.
At a situation that, 4CPs, about half way of the fight, energy pooled > 50, rupture is finishing, I will vanish->garrote->rupture->mut->mut->envenom.

Overthinking? I'm doing what every PvE Rogue
should
be doing and analyzing every possible situation to eke out the most DPS I can. If I can't bring damage, I don't deserve a raid spot.

a buff to PvE DPS.
gemming 4 orange gems isn't maxdps.
Where's the fourth one?
I'd understand your intention if he put orange gems in red/prismatic sockets... But he only gemmed orange for the socket bonuses.

Wrong. Relentless strikes has nothing to do with the energy gain (saved?) from the old Overkill talent. You would still have got 25 energy from Relentless strikes if you had 5CP. Overkill only affected the energy cost of the attacks you did.
For PvE this is a slight buff, since the opening rotation (even before the change) would drain your energy after the first Mutilate. It's not going to change any big numbers on the DPS meters, but I'll take a buff anyday, no matter how small.
For PvP, it's a nerf to the burst damage. Period.

Well, I played around with the new Overkill last night during some BGs. I have noticed that it does hurt; just not as much as I thought. I am Mutilate Spec for PvP. Before we could do KS, Mut, KB, Mut, Mut, Evis in a matter of 6 seconds. Now in order to use Evis with 5 points I have to wait about 2 seconds longer. So it does affect PvP somewhat.
