i play a paladin and i got the message "mass dispell failed because you're immune" or something like that, are you sure it was paladin shield instead of the blessing of protection?

Agreed,
Mass Dispel -
Dispels magic in a 15 yard radius, removing 1 harmful spell from each friendly target and 1 beneficial spell from each enemy target. Affects a maximum of 5 friendly targets and 5 enemy targets.
This dispel is potent enough to remove Magic effects that are normally undispellable.
2.2.3(?) saw the nerf of this, now
ONLY
giving a chance to remove those Magic effects that are normally undispellable.

There seems to be a lot of misinformation flying about this thread. Allow me to clarify.
Ezencell, you're misinterpreting the patch notes. That line merely states that it will prioritize taking off the more powerful effects (
Ice Block
,
Divine Shield
) first, rather than a random buff.
Mass dispel
will still take a random buff off 5 enemies and a random magic debuff off 5 allies if in the radius. With its normal use, for taking off DS/IB, you will cast it, it will show up "Immune," but still remove the effect successfully. With
Focused Power
(which is essential for arenas) I can't say I remember ever seeing a failed Mass Dispel.

Infinity,
I can tell you without Focused Power I've done up to 3 mass dispels without it being removed, and even sometimes with Focused Power. Mass Dispel is the most frustrating thing. I'd slap down one on the target, even two sometimes, and my team would say, "It's still up!"
Seems like I've just gotten the "good" end of the luck spectrum, sorry to hear you've had to much trouble with it. :(
