I assume this is for a PvE MM build, since PvP would want entirely different glyphs.
Chimera Shot
is almost a must-have, and better than Aimed since Chimera should do more than twice the damage of Aimed
Serpent Sting
: Increases the damage of Chimera Shot so it's also must-have, really
the third somewhat depends on your role, a little:
Hunter's Mark
: depends on if you're the token MM with IHM or not, but if you're providing the enhanced mark you should go all the way.
otherwise
Arcane Shot
: not as good as others unless you always run out of mana
Viper
same as Arcane Shot
Rapid Fire
if you have 2/2 Rapid Killing lets you get
one
extra auto shot in every 3-1/2 minutes or so - IMO not as good as Aimed or Kill Shot
Kill Shot
looks good, but depends on length of fight and how long that last 20% takes.
Aimed Shot
: 8 sec cooldown is good stuff, basically a 20% buff to AImed.
Steady Shot
: has been a mainstay, but still the least-damaging shot in the priority, and IMO not as good as Aimed.
Glyph of the Hawk
: really only affects Autos, and as such it's worth about 1.5% boost to damage.
Trueshot Aura
looks good, but the Aimed Shot glyph is IMO better.
To sum up, IMO:
Chimera / Serpent Sting / Hunters Mark if IHM specced
Chimera / Serpent Sting / Aimed Shot if not.
Now this is much more helpful as I think it's pve I'll be doing mostly anyway so thank you so much, I needed the help. =)

Mmm, I have been wondering about my glyphs for a while.
Currently changed to Steady, Serpent and Kill Shot. Seeing as how Steady shot makes up the majority of our shots, even if it is one of the least damaging, a 10% increase to its damage is nothing to scoff at.
I believe however that it does come down your current situation. Also, a good thing to check for your current gear and stats, is to download the spreadsheet, and change things in there. This will give you best idea as to what works best for you.

Chimera, Aimed and Serpent are the best glyphs for marks unless you have bad latency...if you push chimeras and aimeds back to 10s then the bonus from the glyphs is basically nothing.
Rapid Recup is a must have, I'd lose the two points in rapid killing before i gave up this talent. If it said "you get two free Runic Mana Potions per fight" people would be all over it, and it's actually more mana than that.
Next patch we get some mana efficiency love and an increase to hunter's mark, but I'll still have 2 points in RR. Maybe
this
or
this
depending on who I'm with.

I recently swapped out my Glyph of Steady Shot for Aimed Shot. Tests on the training dummy showed around a 100dps increase on average, but my raid performance was abysmal. Normally in a raid I'm in the high 3k to low 4k (4200 is my current best), but last night I couldn't consistently break 3k (3200 was as high as I got). Now, the general DPS of the entire raid was down, so maybe it was the content we were on (Naxx 25 Military wing), but even still, I was very disappointed.
I see ChopShop's comment on latency, so that's one possibility; I was running 250ms latency on average, and I was having trouble with my other shots as well (button presses not registering, difficulty in getting my Volley target circle up etc), so that's likely the main culprit. So given that I do run with latency, is Aimed perhaps not a good choice for me? I love that it gives me a real shot rotation (Chimera>Aimed>Arcane>Steady x2 and repeat) but if latency does adversely affect the glyph it may not be worth having.
The other possibility is that Steady is still a frequent shot and that 10% damage boost adds up.
So I'm really wondering where to go with this one.

Now, the general DPS of the entire raid was down, so maybe it was the content we were on (Naxx 25 Military wing), but even still, I was very disappointed. The military wing isn't an amazing test for DPS in my opinion. The best boss would be Raz, but that just depeneds on how competent your priests are with their Mind Control so you dont ahve to constantly keep feigning death or running. (Yeah, I've had some bade experiences there..../shudder) Anyways, if you're lucky, it would be "nearly" a Patchwerk style fight with high dps.
It also greatly depends on raid buffs. If your raid had a lot of hunter and rogues for instance, there wont be a lot of buffs going around so dps will be lower than in a well planned group.

Regarding Military Wing, ok, that's good to know. I'll need to give Patch another shot then (I've since upgraded a lot of gear following my last Patchwerk fight).
On Raz I topped out at 3600-ish DPS but I forget what it was at the end, but it was lower, 3200 or so maybe and that was indeed as good as it got for the night. But yeah, /shudder at that fight, what a mess.
As for buffs, I had the usual full complement (we had an absurd number of Paladins in the group) so buffs weren't an issue.
Thanks for the comments. I'll keep with Aimed for my next raid run and see how it goes. I am still concerned about latency nullifying the cooldown perks of Chimera and Aimed glyphs. If that is true, then I might be better off with Serpent Sting, Steady Shot and Hunter's Mark (and speccing into IHM).
Wish there was a clear answer on this! Futzing with glyphs is my least-favourite test scenario with builds.

It is currently being discussed in
this
thread over on EJ.
The only mandatory glyph is Serpent Sting. Beyond that alot depends on player preference and style.
Steady Shot seems to be the 2nd most popular with alot of debate over Kill Shot vs Chimera Shot for 3rd. That one is very situational, and (as mentioned) the value of CS glyph also depends on your latency. There are also players that like to take the Aimed Shot glyph to smooth our their rotations.
And now, if you have alot of hunters in your raid, having one of them pick up the IHM glyph could be beneficial.

Even without latency issues, I'm guessing Steady vs Aimed is a matter of personal preference and also some-what situational.
The better your latency and the more movement required in the fight the better Aimed Shot glyph becomes in relation to Steady Shot glyph.

I'm seeing the same thing, generally.
When I test on dummies I pretty much have no latency, things run smoothly and with Serpent, Chimera and Aimed I get a nice smooth rotation of Chimera>Aimed>Arcane>SSx2 or x3 depending on if I've got a Haste proc from Improved Aspect Of The Hawk or not.
But in a raid situation I tend to run around the 200-250ms latency mark and while I can still maintain that shot sequence it does lag and sometimes shots do not fire.
On dummies, the difference between Aimed and Steady glyphs is not clear. Results are pretty much close enough to be within margin of error so as to be essentially identical.
So I'm considering speccing into IHM and picking up the glyph so as to run with HM, Steady and Serpent in a raid. The downside there is that in a raid Steady isn't that common due to often requiring to move, and I'm just not hardcore enough to haul around glyphs to swap out based on the fight.
Also, my raid group generally only has a 2 Hunters (at most) so IHM really doesn't bring much to the raid.
I've got a Naxx tonight starting fresh so I may bring the Aimed, Chimera and Serpent combo to compare against my previous run through (where I used Steady instead of Aimed). Right now, being new to this raid thing, I've not much basis for comparison yet.
I swear 75% of this game is testing, theorising and tweaking with the raid only the proving ground.
