Vashj sounds simple enough from the strategy descriptions, but phase 2 has been consistently difficult for various reasons (elementals get through, striders don't die fast enough, naga's uncontrolled, tainted elemental passing slow)
How did your guild learn to do this fight? Could you be detailed?
1. Roster - did you recruit new people? Did you do it with 4-6 warlocks and hunters? Same people every night? Unusual makeup?
2. Time - how long were your raids? 2hrs a night, 5hrs? How many nights a week? How many weeks?
3. Strategy - customized or did you follow it straight from the Dark Ritual video or off bosskillers
4. Improvements/Review - did you just keep doing the same thing over and over? How do you observe and find places to improve the raid?
5. Morale and leading - how did your raid leader keep morale up during this learning period? Is it necessary to yell at people for success?
1. Vashj doesn't really need class stacking. We didn't need to recruit people because we had a solid core when we killed her. It helps if you can get the same people every night.
2. Vashj has no trash, so if she's the only one alive, you can get lots of attempts in. We raid for 4 hours a night, 4 days a week. Took us probably 2 weeks to kill her (3 nights total). You have to take into account the day or so it took to clear to her first.
3. You need to make up your own strategy that will suit your guild and the people you have in your raid. Bosskillers is more of a guideline on what happens in the fight. You need to be able to figure things out for yourself.
4. You keep refining until you get 'er down :p
5. Morale is very important. You don't want player burnout. You have to call out the bad players and let them know exactly what they need to do to be better. If they quit because of it, so be it, you don't need them anyways. Of course, you need a knowledgable raid leader for this to work.

pinch999 speaks the truth!
Vashj requires strong communication and attention, as pretty much any encounter would, but they're taken to a bit higher degree. Your healers need to know who gets the Static Charge immediately and those people need to know to move immediately. You need your dps to be attentive of the spawns, especially the Tainted Spawns and insuring that no adds get to Vashj. Your tanks need to be attentive of the spawns, especially the Striders that can one-shot a clothie with no second thought. When a Tainted Core drops you need make it an absolute priority that it is transferred to a player who can use it as quickly and efficiently possible (having free bagspace lawl). Everything before and beyond that phase is really just typical tank and spank. Pay attention if people get rooted with Static Charge, keep up the communication and have your ranged classes handle the Spore Bats. The fight can draw out pretty long if your dps is low but you've only a matter of time before you're overwhelmed with green goo.
