+Int Nobles for Holy Priest?
Return to board index
Post by

Okay so, I'm about to receive a giant chunk of cash from the AH, and was wondering, is the
+INT Greatness card
any good for Holy priest? These are my current trinkets:
Solace of the Defeated
Meteorite Crystal
Or should I not spend that 4k? =P

Definately do NOT spend the 4k.

honestly? i really don't know.
I would go for the Mp5 trinkets simply because they have both spell power and regen, your two most important things!
i would save the 4k also and try and grab sif's remembrance from ulduar. that and solace are a solid trinket choice.

I can't even relate to the question. You have Meteorite.
Have a look here for
regen trinkets
.
If you really need to spend that money, get a DM card for an alt or something!

I've already got
Sif's Remembrance
. Passed it up for Solace, and switched my
Spark of Hope
with
Meteroite Crystal
when I got that.
Another reason I'm thinking I should get a INT Greatness card, is because in Cataclysm, INT = SP. Which will probably make the INT Greatness card actually viable for all casters, and make it in great demand.

But by the time Cataclysm comes out, and you level to 85, how good will that trinket be? What is going to drop/be available in 3.3? Seems like a waste of monies to me.

Nobody knows. How are you so sure it would be a waste of money? =P
Greatness was released in 3.0, and now it's 3.2, and Greatness card is still...Great...compared to lots of other trinkets.

I think you're just trying to justify it now :)
The two trinkets you're using are better than it, and possibly when Cataclysm is even announced for a specific date, MAYBE you should buy it, but for now, save yourself the 4k.

The only thing the int proc from Greatness is good for is regenning mana faster when you fiend/hope. Equipping Solace and Meteroite Crystal should make that pretty unnecessary, as they're two of the best all around regen trinkets in the game.
Hold out for the 258 version of Solace. It's doubtful you'll ever equip an Int trinket again after that anyway.

Hm, what do you imagine they'll do with all the spell power they put on gear and trinkets? I'm sure it will all just get wiped away. So poor Dragon Soul, itemized only for spell power, will become an empty trinket.
I'm obviously joking. Dragon Soul will be re-itemized for sure, as will all the other hybrid trinkets. All trinkets will be int trinkets in one form or another.
Whatever they do, Solace will certainly be better than Greatness. Plus by the time you get Cataclysm you'll be most interested in leveling trinkets, not raiding trinkets.
And if you're making purchasing or gearing decisions now, for vaporware that's barely in development and won't hit the streets for another year, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. Excellent price.

Hope you all don't mind me hijacking the thread to ask some trinket questions.
This is my
Discipline Priest.
I currently have 3 trinkets I keep around in my bag. I'm having difficulties which 2 are best for my spec:
Spark of Hope
Egg of Mortal Essence
Tears of the Vanquished
Forge Ember
(mostly for the crit)
I keep hearing how awesome Spark of Hope is, but I wonder how useful all that spirit will be to a Disc Priest.
Any pointers or help will be appreciated. :)

spark is the best passive mp5 trinket out there. But for discipline, the itemization is poor. stick with SP, Crit/Int Trinkets.
This trinket however, its really good for holy priests hitting ulduar

I would say no, you already have Meteorite. If it was me I would rock Solace and Spark of hope. Save the 4k and spend your cash on Bejeweled Wizard's Bracers.
Bejewled Wizard's Bracers
? No spirit, do not want. Already have
Grasps of Reason
, anyways.
Thread's pretty much over, question answered a while ago.

Wizards bracers are WAY better than grasps. 23 SP in those and you have everything you could want in a bracer, Crit, Sp and Haste. Spirit on grasps doesn't balance the spell power out. get the wizards.

But no spirit/mp5.
Spirit on grasps doesn't balance the spell power out.
Yeah, it does.
48/4 = 12
75+12 = 87
87 > 80
get the wizards.
Seeing as orbs still sell for 1800 or more on my server, I'd be paying around 7k. And for one piece of gear? Which can/will be easily replaced? I think I'll pass. Seeing as my guild has ToC10 (H) and ToC25 on farm, I don't think it'll be very hard to get a pair of bracers.
