I'm in the same boat and I agree LFR is fantastic.
I just hope they make it available for previous and future raids, maybe even bring out a heroic LFR!

Wow, OP's story is pretty much mine in a nutshell. And yes, I do like LFR as well even though it does have a few issues.

I hate to say it, but I stull think the increasing buff in ICC was the best way to open up content for everyone.
Try and think of LFR as the same as the ICC buff except players like the OP get to see it now and not months from now.
Also I don't recall the LFR being mandatory, the select few with the skill, time, and guild in place can still go directly to normal mode or even heroic.

Oh it's not, and never mind that the hardcore sect is using LFR as a tool to help them gear up too; people are still going to bash on it, cause it let's everyone see content, rather then just a few who then go on to unlock the last scene.

My only reservation, are the threads I am beginning to see on Blizz site forum about LFR
People complaining about fairness, loot issues and more to the point the responses being post.
It is disheartening to read post after post expressing that players should just "need" every roll available, regardless. Pretty much a dog eat dog sentiment.
Is this really a principal we want to embrace in the community.
I know Blizz is attempting to address this issue with the next patch, but are we really reaching the point where we are expecting Blizz to replace the human element and become the raid leader, lootmaster...etc. and remove any decision making on our part. A hearty task indeed.
I'm glad LFR is allowing more players to enjoy endgame contents and I hope Blizz can work out the kinks by the time MoP comes around. If loot roll issues are a problem now, at the end of an expansion and progression, how much more will they be at the start of an expansion. O.o

This strikes at the heart of my only pet peeve with Blizzard they have always been reactive instead of proactive.
I like the LFR and think it is a great addition to the game, the loot roll rules were flawed on the ptr though and still it was allowed to go live. Much better had they been more proactive and worked it out before releasing it.

Going to be a fix being added in with the 4.3.2 patch, to at least make it so people can't win the same item multiple times off of one boss.

Going to be a fix being added in with the 4.3.2 patch, to at least make it so people can't win the same item multiple times off of one boss.
Now after going back and reading the patch notes I wasn't sure what they were saying.
Players can no longer win multiple copies of the same item on a single Raid Finder boss kill. For example, a player who chooses Need on two set piece tokens or two weapons and wins the first, will not be eligible for the second on that particular boss.
Now I get that if 2 of the same item drops, whether it be a weapon, armor, token, etc., that you can only get one of the item
from that boss kill
. But what if you already have the item and roll need on it again. As an example I won the caster dagger off Madness last week, would I be able to roll need on it even though only 1 dropped this time around, yet I won one from a previous LFR? This is what is throwing me off by the wording they used.
