I have a terrible habit of /gquitting guilds.
Perhaps i have too much of a desire for a 'perfect' guild. A guild where everyone gets along, clears content without any hassles, and there is no such thing as drama in the guild.
I have quit guilds for not liking the tabard (bc), having an argument with another new guildy, not liking the raid policy, loot rules, someone's personality... or even if i get the slightest hint that something is wrong.
I dont want the responsibility of creating my own guild nor the micromanagement that goes with it.
I just quit another guild, because i didnt get a response in guild chat for a while to any of my questions, when i knew everyone was in dalaran after a raid. I was only in the guild a few hours before i ran for the hills.
Ive even quit guilds where there was a big argument in guild chat - and it had nothing to do with me nor was i a participant.
I cant even count how many guilds ive quit on both hands.

This feels like flame-bait, but I'm going to ignore that and see if we can keep the thread civil.
Quitting because you didn't get your question answered fast seems overzealous. I'd wager that if you came off as this needy, uncompromising, and picky to the guild members that were in chat, it might explain why no one wanted to answer the question. Or, you know, they were busy. :)
When dealing with other people, you're going to have to learn to compromise. There is always going to be something you do not like about a guild simply because everyone in the guild is not a clone of yourself. That's pretty much the way all human interaction goes, in-game or in real life. You're never going to find a perfect guild, even if you did decide to make one yourself (which you've already indicated is beyond your level of commitment). You might just be better of not being in a guild and pugging end-game content when you want exposure to it.

Apologizing for proving you right.
I'd offer the OP some constructive criticism on this, but I don't want to be the cause of him up and quitting the forum and running off to another one.

The thing is, there's only so many guilds that do stuff per server. I honestly wish that when you moused over a server, you could see maybe the top 5 guilds on each faction, their raid times, how far they are into content, and their "level of commitment" or something like that. But yeah, it sucks that WoW is split into so many servers because its hard to find the right guild for you without transferring servers all the time.

i would stay guild-less and pug what you need to pug until you come across a mostly guild run that suits your style of play and you can inquire about joining with them.
arguing will happen. end of story. these are real people playing, with real opinions and real lives going on behind their computer chairs.
guild hopping will give you a bad rep and most people will assume you are trying to steal from guild banks or mooch money/items/runs if you keep it up....
coming from a guild leader, you need to accept that sometimes people will not answer you.
so what if they just ended a raid and were in dal?
trade chat could have been in rare form and going so fast your question was missed. as mentioned earlier, the other players could have been involved in new gear, which means they have bags and armor/auction house windows open and may not see your question. they could be involved whispering with someone else atm, and yes, ignore you. or maybe, just maybe, if the raid
just ended
they are all: in the bathroom, getting a drink, having a smoke, taking a phone call they missed, taking the dog out etc etc etc....
what was your question? because i can tell you personally if i just ended a raid and someone i don't know well, who just joined the guild, asked for a VC run, i would laugh and ignore them too...
if it was a legit question, i would wait and ask a few minutes later. also, how did you ask? was it polite? was it IN ALL CAPS WITH LOTSA ?'S
need more info to justify your /gquitting.
leaving because other people are arguing and it has nothing to do with you? i smell fear of confrontation. stay guildless then. WoW is full of real people. arguing will happen.
Leaving because you don't like the tabard? what if they never argued? would you deal with the tabard then? maybe that was the best guild ever and you left cuz of the tabard.... no one said u had to wear it anyway :p
not wanting the responsibility of leading your own guild just proves further how ridiculous this is.
more people need to research what types of guilds there are as vern posted above.
