Has a new 4.0.1 version of simcraft been released ive been looking but havent found anything and nothing has said this threads been updated yet
I'm checking it daily and I'll try and post an update as soon as I see a new version.
As a side note, you can download the
source code
of the newer version and compile it if you're able.

Couple things of note as I briefly fiddled with it:
Demonology does include Shadowflame in the rotation (something I've not used much of)
There appears to be an issue when trying to sim your non-active spec - it won't.
The infernal is used as the CD pet (no surprise)

shadowflame is included for demo's default actionlist since it they have a benefit to being in melee range anyway (immo aura). destro would still get a benefit from using it too but they're less likely to be that close.

Yeah, makes perfect sense. I mainly just mentioned it since its still one of those spells that wasn't really used, but now is viable.

Wowhead profiles do not work properly with simcraft for me.
First there is no tab for wowhead on the import.
Second, the wowhead profiles show wrong statistics, leading to bad simulations.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Edit: its as if wowhead updated the tooltips for lvl85 but the math is still for lvl80.

but they still do not support Reforging
Right now they still don't support
Anything
at all.
Thanks for pointing out chardev. I did not know that site and will give it a try.
Very dissapointed at wowhead right now.

Apparently, the picture links have been broken for who knows how long. They have now been fixed.

Now when I open my download I get a page that has like 35 different things (folders) to click
The page you are getting i suspect is your unzipping software.
Look at the top icons and there should be one called ''extract''
Hit it and it''ll prompt you to choose a path to extract to.
Choose desktop and click ok.
This will create a folder on your desktop called simulationcraft v406......
Open it and execute simulationcraft.exe. Voila

Anyone know if you can set simcraft for a dungeon boss instead of raid boss?
Post by

just add target_level=87 at the top of your action list (the page of text in the 'simulate' tab before you press the button to start the simulation going).
it defaults to 88 which is the raid boss level.

Hey Acabar, how about a wee update.
The biggest change is that currently SimCraft doesn't support importing from Wowhead (reforging being the issue) but does support CharDev.
If you do whip up a couple of updates to the thread maybe you could include some of the query possibilities for things like coefficients (as detailed in
DraconisAerius' thread
)

Maybe you could copy the actionlist and post it here then we can see if it's missing something simple.

After "downloading" simcraft (aka, unzipping with WinZip). all i see are a ton of folders that all look exactly the same. i tried looking for one labeled exactly as poster described and could find nothing exact. I see two items that are "applications" that are named similarly: one is "simc.exe", the other is "simulationcraft.exe". this seemed like an obvious choice to me so i tried opening those files. i then got an error message "The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem".
Me not being a computer whiz of any degree, this is, essentially, jibberish to me. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do and am frankly baffled that there isn't an easier, more user-friendly way to download such a powerful tool. : (
If anyone can help, without making me feel like more of an idiot than i already do, that would be amazing.(##RESPBREAK##)520##DELIM##Onyx1831##DELIM##
