You can walk through the Dark Portal in Blasted Lands, that will take you to Frostfire.

What do you mean, are there players killing you? Because the NPCs there should be uninterested in you, being locked in fights with Azerothian forces. Also remember you can still fly in Azeroth.

There is a portal in Orgrimmar, close to the portals to the Cataclysm locations. It looks like a miniature dark portal. It leads to Frostfire Ridge, where you arrived at the end of the quest chain.
