For the first time in a long while, the Horde (I'm Alliance) actually helped us on some things. I'm sure you've heard of how hard one of the Children's Week achievements is (Hard Knocks). Today in Warsong Gulch the Horde and Alliance actually helped each other out in dropping the flag. It was awesome. I was able to emote to them to help us out while I helped them out. I got my achievement finally.
What are some of your stories where the other side showed you a random act of kindness?
They did that at us too. It started by everytime EVERYONE defending to pick up a flag.
After 20min I got sick of it, I ran to ally's base and spammed my /wait macro, while walking instead of running.
First time they killed me, second time they let me through. I took/dropped the flag for like 20times (also for another achie) before a tard decided to kill me. However, allys did the same to us later so we all had achie.
Happened on Kor'gall, EU

I had to work for my WSG achievement because no one wanted to play along. Same thing for AB. I was spamming wait and pointing at my orphan and was still getting whacked left and right. Eye of the Storm was just easy. I came in to a fight that had just started. There were three alliance in the middle and only 2 horde, and the horde were about to die, so I just grabbed the flag and ran. Easy.
AV on the other hand. It took me about six AVs before I got a group that was helpful. There were about 3 alliance with Orphans hanging out in Tower Point. The horde ran up and started attacking, but stopped and capped the flag back. We traded a few times back and forth.
Funny thing though, as soon as I got my achievement I stripped my gear off and lie down in front of the mage to indicate to him that I was giving him a free kill. He just stood there with a puzzled look. Then this boomkin ran up and started attacking me. I took up my sword and shield and actually killed him while wearing only rings, neck, cloak, and trinkets...

I believe that I was beginning to witness the start of this cooperation last nigh... errr this morning I guess depending on where you live, in WSG. I spent the better part of six hours trying to get the School of Hard Knocks achievements. I saved WSG for last because I figured it would be the easiest. Probably about the third one I was in the Horde side was mostly staying at their base, and one guy kept coming to the Alliance base, picking up the flag and just dropping it in the flag room. Most of the people in our side thought he was just being a noob, but it went on for the entire WSG run, I got my achievement, we won and didn't think anything more about it...
I often find myself in situations that lead to some sort of cooperation between Horde and Alliance. Most of which revolves around taking turns tagging and helping out on some elite quest boss, or difficult quest area. What I find most interesting about it is that players from opposing factions find ways to communicate intentions, sometimes complicated intentions without being able to communicate with words at all. I remember one time in particular where myself on my NE Hunter and an Orc Shaman completed an entire group quest chain together. It was an interesting and somewhat surreal experience.
Of course, when it's all said and done, I'll still happily fight to the death in BGs and wherever PvP is happening and kill me some Horde scum. /love 8)

I remember a really awesome Tauren Warrior that I kept running into while leveling. One quest was to kill Scarlet Onslaught people in Icecrown, and we would pull the mobs to help each other out, and take turns on the specific mob respawns. I saw him a few more times before we both eventually dinged 80, but I haven't seen him in a bit :(

Horde player here. At about 65 or so, I had a group for those Ring of Blood (AKA gold) quest chains. Had a decent group, we were doing well... Until we got to the final boss. Something about him was wiping us constantly. Well we rezzed after wiping the 2nd time, and an 80 NE Warrior and another 67 Draenei were doing the quest chains. We sat and watched, letting them finish. Well shortly after, we used /wait on him, and he waited. We started the quest, and watching him, he stayed there. The final mob came in again, and he started... How can I put this:
Slaughtering
the thing. We helped how we could, and he stuck there until we were totally finished. Everyone /thanked him, I /bowed and /lucked, and off we all went.
That was one of my most enjoyable Alliance-To-Horde moments. :D Had a more minor day yesterday, not much happened, but a 74 Dwarf BM Hunter was in Sholazar, getting attacked by mobs. So I went over and killed anything he tagged, he /thanked me the first few times, I /welcomed and left. Later, I visited the Savage Thicket to get done Nessingwary's chains (Which I enjoyed mostly, wish he had a faction for dailies etc), and saw a BM NE Hunter. He sat and watched me taking mobs with my LoqueTalah (Loque'nahak), and I went over to him. /pointed at Loque, /pointed at him (At this point I knew what he was thinking), and /lucked him. He /thanked me, and we both /bowed and he left. More of a Hunter moment there, but enjoyable nonetheless.

That's cool. It's sad that there are actually people who are so pathetic that they deeply hate people on the other side. At that point, it's probably smart to take a little break, and maybe get some psychological help. We're all just gamers enjoying a game. The key word there is game.

when i was doing the frenzyheart/oracle quest...the final one. There was a Ally there who helped me down the elite. I helped him get his on done after.
There's also the arena quests...seeing that you fight ~5 fights, instead of just watching, they help out. We end up doing the same (or at least me)
Then for Noblegarden, there was the elusive female Dwarf, who when bunny ear'd, would remove it so the next could do it.
Battle at the Citadel...always see everyone help each other out. Makes it easier (and doing the same daily every day gets really boring fast...trying to get the flying mount means having it do it at least 50x)
