Healing as balance spec while leveling--- Until when?

I did it up to DTK, around 75-76, and felt like it was getting alot harder after that. You can probably do VH and maybe gundrak but im guessing HoL would be too hard.

Just about any caster spec with a healing spell can heal up to heroics, it usually just means carrying a healing set around, and not being afaid to mark a cc if you have to. I've seen geared Ele shammies heal a couple of the easier heroics too.
I healed as ret all the way thru, including HoL. IMO, it's harder to heal as balance tho.
But I also did that when people were leveling their mains, and not the fail geared DK tanks you run into now....

You dont have to spec resto for normal instances, it's healable as moonkin. With the right gear, ofc.
