OK, I guess it's an odd question, and I think I know the answer, but I just wanna makes sure: haste doesn't affect the attack speeds of shape-shifted druid, does it? But spell haste does, right?

So, what is a decent attack speed with haste bonus in cat form, is it typical to see a cat form attack speed of .5? I sincerely doubt you can get it to .1, but that would be reedikulus for PVP against casters and would be nice DPS for PVE.

Haste Rating
(melee)
does
affect your 1.0 sec. attack speed while in Cat form as well as affecting your 2.5 sec. attack speed in Bear (and Dire Bear) form. It doesn't not affect your Instant attack abilities (i.e.: Mangle, Swipe, etc.).
Spell Haste Rating
affects your spell casts (even in Moonkin form and in Tree of Life form). Spell Haste Rating
does not
affect your Instant cast spells like Lifebloom, Rejuvenation, Moonfire, etc. It affects spells that has a cast bar and/or a channeling bar (i.e.: Tranqility, Regrowth, etc.).
Oh, well, I guess you learn something new every day... thank you.

Haste rating just isn't that good for feral druids because our white damage is so mediocre. For it to make a difference we'd need a retardedly high amount of haste. You're better off going for more crit.
Spell haste, on the other hand, is quite nice for casting.

Spell haste is quite imba for Starfire, but it just plain sux for Wrath as the cast time of Wrath (talented) is 1.5 sec and anything below that gets you stuck in the global cooldown. Same problem with Nature's Grace, but with +spell haste gear it's even more noticable coz it happens every time. -.-

Melee haste would be nice for bear form tanking wouldn't it? Let you get that maul off quickly.
I'm not sure why Ceantari said it doesn't affect your maul or swipe. I mean, of course it doesn't affect swipe, but maul goes off on your next attack, which would come sooner with melee haste, so in a sense, it does affect that.
But I am glad to learn it does have an effect since others had been telling me it has none.

15.7 haste rating = 1% attack speed increase
15.7 spell haste rating = 1% reduced cast time
Let's say for example... You have the
Botanist's Gloves of Growth
and the
Shoulderpads of Renewed Life
. That's a total of 75 spell haste rating. That is granting you 4.78% spell haste (75 / 15.7 = 4.78%), which makes Regrowth from a 2 sec. cast down to a 1.91 sec. cast (2 - 4.78% = 1.91).
Now an example of melee haste... You have the
Grips of Damnation
and the
Shadow-walker's Cord
, totaling 74 haste rating. That is about 4.71% attack speed increase (74 / 15.7 = 4.71%), making your 1 sec. attack speed in Cat Form down to a 0.95 sec. attack speed (1 - 4.71% = 0.95).
Wait a second. For example, 4,78% spell haste doesn't reduce casting speed by 4,78%. It is /1+
In your example, it would be 2/1+0,0478 = 2/1,0478 = 1,91. You did get the correct result, but the calculations were not correct. At least you didn't explain them correctly.
