Ok I always read these forums and find the same thing anytime anyone makes a few mistakes. Everyone always flames them. I was wondering why I know for a fact that not everyone is in the US and thus some people have a hard time spelling. SO why does everyone Flame everyone that makes a mistake?

LOL tis ias awsome
The problem is that if you don't correct the little mistakes, the people get worse and make the statements like my above sentence.

You misspelled grammar in your subject.
And we flame for poor grammar, because most of the mistakes being called out should have been learned in grade school. I think it's pretty obvious when "someone talk english not good very, many sorries" that they are not a native speaker and should not be flamed for it.
However, if it is your native language and you are not able to articulate yourself above a 4th grade level...... you kind of deserve it.
Maybe I am a prig for it, but even in face-to-face conversation, if someone speaks horribly, I will most likely stop paying attention and write them off.

You post on an English board, you use proper English or you get thrown to the wolves. Don't like it? Don't post or learn better English.

You forgot a period after grammar Bbrawler.
You should have a comma after grammar.

I get rogue being spelled rouge. I always like to post asking why they are talking about the color rouge on a wow forum.

Makeup can't open lockboxes, why would you ask for such a thing?
My favorite line in trade chat. Guaranteed to rile someone up.

I agree with the consensus. I will overlook spelling issues with certain words and in certain places. Someone whispering me and misspelling atrocious is fine. Someone misspelling ANYTHING in their guild name is not acceptable.

It has to be
bad
before I'll comment. Most people don't take the time to capitalize letters or use punctuation which annoys me some. I just don't see the point in flaming them for it. They're
not
going to listen so it does no good.
If it is really bad though, I try to be as constructive as I can.
