What's the fastest way to farm
Stone Keeper's Shards
? I wanted to pickup the
Upgraded Dwarven Hand Canon
for my new Worgen hunter but I'm short on shards by a lot. Was planning on running WG when it's up but that's a weekly thing. If my faction has WG, would running heroics over an over (I'm a tank) work as well? It's 4 per boss right? What about regular ToC or ICC 5 man farming (does reg ToC or ICC 5 mans drop emblems), would that be faster?

Wg daily's and heroics like you said are your best bet by the end of the week you should have more then enough.

Normal dungeons will also give SKS, although at a lesser rate. Note sure how many drop in regular ToC, should be 3 or 4 per boss.

Farming heroics is probably your best bet. I tend to forget about my shards, then check to find out I have 400-500 just sitting there.

Also, any particular reason you want the gun over the bow? Just curious.

I have the bow, and the gun is for RP value. Its trivial but I'd like to have both available just incase one looks better than the other. With no ammo requirements it doesn't matter if I switch mid fight either.
There is plenty of time till Cata but my account will be frozen soon. I plan on playing SC2 and staying away from WoW for a bit just for a break. Hopefully the time away will make me excited about leveling yet another alt.
I did a stint of heroics last night and just called it a night. Got about 40 shards or so and just got bored. My toons on my horde server have around 2k combined shards still sitting around, wish you could transfer them or something. Thanks for the tips.

Whoa way to necro my old thread.
I actually got my 200 shards refunded on the heirloom shoulders and had enough to buy the heirloom gun. Come cata I'll have both BoA bow and gun for my Worgen hunter.

Ehh, it aint a necro to me unless its 2 months or more, or the discussion is no longer valid. And I dont want to spend money to faction transfer to horde and back...
Well, have you tried helping your faction win WG? Also, I know there's a website where you can look up your realm and the percentage of wins each faction has and when they usually when them... Because for my server, I notice that Horde owns WG overnight, while Alliance usually owns it during the day and early evening on weekdays (which is usually when I play). Plus if I can I usually queue for WG so I can try and help.
