Leveling up I abused "of the Beast" and "of the Soldier" gear to get me HP/AP and Crit. Until I was closing in on 70 I didn't worry so much about Hit gear. After you hit 70 you can pick up various quest items with +hit and the Desolation 2 piece bonus is 35 Hit.
After hitting 70 and working on things for a bit I'm finding that Feral Druid gear seems to pack the best HP/AP balancing (Don't go with raw AP, go with Str... scales with BoK) and in the cases of the pieces I'm wearing had more Armor as well. Broke 1400 AP the other day unbuffed after adding another leather piece to my character, but I'm intentionally dropping Crit (down to ~20%) as I also have the DMF card that generates Crit Rating. From that 20% with that trinket I can keep Unleashed Rage up on my party 90% of the time and make the Rogue's ears bleed with my Focused effect. ;)

When leveling solo it sucks to have your armor dropped. When raiding if you're getting hit either (1) You've screwed up or (2) Your tank has screwed up. ;)

First, remove WF from your OH...it wastes the 3sec CD on WF for your MH, which will do more dmg. Put rockbitter maybe on the OH.
For the stats, i think you should just not worry too much now about getting much +hit, of course you could use some, but not too much. At lvl 70, the gear lvl is high enough to give you all the stats you need on the same item. You will just need to get PVE gear instead of PVP gear if you wanna raid, because there is no hit rating in PVP gear, thtas if you wanna raid as enhanc of course.
Wow... just ignore this post and refer to the EJ forums for real data. Always dual wield WF. Also WF is a special attack and thus is hit capped via talents. As you gear up note that Str and AGI will scale w/ BoK's for raiding while your AP will not.

If you have enough patience you can grind about 25k honor and buy 2 level 60 epic axes (59.7 dps) that are awesome to use all the way to level 70. And they are 2.9 speed..great for windfury and stormstrike.

No, you suck, keep it on there, the reason is because it is not a 100% hit, would you rather wait 6 seconds for it to proc, or to get 2 OH procs in that same time?
/Crit=main stats
Hit you shouldn't worry about much, 100 is good, esy to hit, but do NOT socket your stuff with +hit, just get a good spec, (44/17

Now on AP/crit/hit. Hit is the easiest way to up your dps until capped... ...At the moment it is recommended to hit 9% hit cap first then focus on crit/ap then finally raidbuff into max.
If I understand you right, you're saying to focus on hit rating first? That's very wrong.
Elitist Jerks
says otherwise.
There is no magic value of +Hit that an Enhance Shaman needs We need as much of every stat as we can get, but hit rating is just less important than the others. That's all it amounts to. Many top tier shaman raid with less than 100 hit rating on their gear and boast some of the highest DPS values recorded for our spec. (That does not mean that the goal is to have low hit rating either though.)
