Hey guys was just wondering about an Elemental rotation ? Since LB is on a 8sec CD when is it to be put into the rotation, as soon as its off CD or after a few LB or CL?
- Cheers :b

your rotation will change slightly depending on your haste. but as a general rule of thumb, use FS when its about to expire and LvB as soon as its off cd. shove the space in between with LB's and CL's if you have extra mana.
This does of course only make sense if you're using the Glyph of Flame Shock - which every respectful Elemental Shaman should, without doubt.
Simple version:
Keep Flame Shock up,
Use Lava Burst whenever you can.
Fill the holes with Lightning Bolt.

To sum it all up
Shamans dont really have a fixed rotation. Haste factors in too much to give any one rotation as the primary
What we do have is a priority rotation, meaning we should cast some spells over others if they are available
A shamans priority rotation should be
FS > LvB > CL > LB
FS is ofcause only cast when your previous dot is about to expire.
So FS if not FS dot is up
LvB when off cooldown
CL, when off cooldown, and LvB is on cooldown
LB when both CL and LvB is on cooldown

This is your rotation.

if you glyph minor Thunderstorm(yeah yeah you lose the fun, but in raids you don't need mobs flying about), then you can add that in for extra AoE power too
edit: it's the minor one, btw,(make it 10% mana regen but lose the knockback)
Glyohed thunderstorm has one flaw Magma totem doesnt. It draws mobs attention to you. If you crit and it in the initial phase of the pull (when you usually put Magma up) and they arent knocked back it it means instant
Shaman heroic trash tanking win
.
Fixed.

CL, when off cooldown, and LvB is on cooldown
LB when both CL and LvB is on cooldown
Actually due to the fact that CL isn't affected by shamanism, I'm relatively sure that casting it is just a waste. You'd be better off doing
FS>LvB>LB(x4)>LvB>LB(x4) repeat. if you have enough haste you can cram 5 LB's into the first chunk, but what with the FS after the second LB chunk you prolly can't cram that one.
One suggestion is just castsequence it all, that's what i did
#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=target(or thing of your choosing) flame shock, lava burst, lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lava burst, lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt
/cast elemental mastery
The sad thing is it actually fits

My rotation for my lv80 is: chain lightning, Flameshock (2 crits in a second) Lavaburst, Lightning bolt, lightning bolt, Flameshock (keep flame shock on mob all the time) lavaburst.
For good damage rotation you just need to work on those 3 spells. Remember chain lightning is and instant impact spell so its good to hit with that followed right up with a shock spell.
