Also, what's with the 3 Days Grace on my Nightwish station?

In a shifted geometric sequence can you do the adding/subtracting before the multiplication/division? If not, I'm stumped...

Because they can?

Same problem?
I just worked the last problem and found the troll.
I'm pretty sure, Order of Ops is fixed.

Or something. I'm not seeing the connection.

Ok, dammit. I was given a sequence, 0, 10, 15, 17.5, 18.75 . . . and told to write a recursive formula for it, and all I've gotten out of it is that it's shifted geometric (so it requires two steps) but I'm unsure what to do, or how to go about figuring out the numbers I need to input.
Note that as this is homework I don't expect someone to do it for me, because that wouldn't help me learn the subject, but I don't think we were taught how to actually reverse a sequence like this and figure it out that way.

I came up with an answer really simply, unless I'm completely misinterpreting the question (which is entirely possible since I haven't taken a math class in 4 years) . I can't exactly think of any ways to give you help without just giving you the answer outright =/

What's one of the numbers in the formula, aside from the base numbers? ;D

10

Ok wow that was so simple, I don't even know why I found it hard. I figured 10 was one of the numbers, but thanks for your help. +1 rep!

Math is amazing! Like that's probably a weird thing for a literature person to say, but I've always loved the order and utter simplicity of math.

+ 1 = 0
soo pretty :)

Yeah, it can't solve its own problems... Although neither can I sometimes, but still.

Great! Then the oceans will be filled with irradiated water that could evaporate and form clouds that rain over us! Not to mention the wild life! :P
