IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAND!

Could someone give me the TLDR version of
this
please? Type of game, graphics, etc included please.
It's a third-person-shooter RPG, very story-driven. Very nice graphics and gameplay, overall very, very good. However, it's centered completely on story with many interactive cutscenes. If you want it, I suggest you get the first one too.
Personally, I love the Mass Effect games. The plot is better than most movies, and your interactions can really help shape the game world.

I read something about 'open ended'? Is it as open ended as oblivion?

There are lots of planets to explore, but it's not completely open-ended. However, there are a huge amounts of sidequests in both games (although admittedly, they are rather repetitive in the first) to occupy your time.
It's a lot more open in the second game. You fly to different systems, orbit and scan the planet, and if an anomaly is detected, you can land on the planet to complete the associated sidequest. The first game, all sidequests are received as you go along from a hub, and you just fly to the system and land on the planet designated in said quest.

And can I do multiplayer, if I link 2 computers together?
Post by

Not sure exactly how many, but quite a few. I never completed more than 60% of the first game or so, and I played for nearly 20 hours. As for multiplayer, it's a singleplayer game only =/

Bah... I wanna network my computers together and try a 1st person shooter cooperatively with my wife... must be high in graphics and quality gameplay.... More like Halo, and less like HalfLife.

Ah. Unfortunately, with the gaming industry's hard-on for "realism" right now, you'll be hard-pressed to find a game like Halo. Hmm...Time Splitters, perhaps? Old-ish, but great.

This, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. If you don't want to shell out the recommended $500 for a PS3, you can always get the game for the computer, which you can play with two people online.
If you're saying a ps3 is $500, Laihendi would like to point out that it is only $300, and comes with built in wireless, blu-ray, and a 120 gb hdd.
