"take everything in moderation - even WoW" (c) Blizzard
=) i feel for you, but you should definitely consider other types of entertainment.
as for yet another stereotype - asian people (sorry if i am wrong here - i am making a conclusion that you are of asian descent as you said you are from China - no racism at all i assure you)... so asian people are famous not only for gold farmers for online games but for number of cases with addiction to such games (often with sad ending). I have to tell that your post sounded a bit as of addicted person - but again it is just my impression.
so in this light i would really advise you to put your mind off WoW completely - it is back when it is back - and meanwhile get another hobby (there are good and simple suggestions in this topic).
can you play any musical instrument? - learn to play guitar =)
are you keen on programming? there are loads of really interesting yet not really hard problems which you can try solving - take for instance projecteuler.net (disclaimer: this is not a comercial site and this is not an ad)
Thanks to your advise,I know WoW doesn't mean the whole world and there are many other things to do in my life.Playing WoW is just a part of my life.In these days without WoW,I had more time to do something else like reading some books, doing some housework or going out and do some sports. But I just really love this game and the friends in the game.At any rate, after the game be back online,I think I will balance my life more.

Is Chinese tea very popular in U.S?I don't like tea much. There is a common saying saying that one would not do X or would only do X for "all the tea in china". Because there is a lot of tea in china, this is an exorbitant and quite unrealistic request, implying that the action requested is similarly unrealistic.
I can't believe I had to explain a saying that is over 800 years old.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, i for one always thought of chinese people as farmers and unfriendly people, i realize that i am wrong on this and we should never go with the stereotypes that society beseech upon us, alas i must point out that, yes, it looks you certainly love the game, i must point the importance of also living outside it, because there might be a time (tomorrow or within 10 years) that you will realize that most of your youth if not your personal life went into electronic data bits and will never return.
As for me, i used to be hardcore raider and 2 months ago i decided to give it up a rest for some time, why? because i started realizing that the outside people where becoming dull, if you notice this, its an urgent sign to get up, go outside and live a day without the word technology on it. i thought that i was amiss and something could be wrong, and the idea of coming back anytime was present, but i ended up overcoming it, as of now, yes i came back, BUT i am a mere shadow of what i was, i no longer care if i win or lose, or wipe, i finally got rid of the game as something essential, i lost some friends, but real friends are those who will not push you around because you no longer want to raid everyday or get t9 gears, or win Wintergrasp all the time, i still enjoy it, but i can do something that i couldn't before, and that is turn off the game anytime i desire, whether i need to actually do something the game no longer is a priority, i got excellent grades in college, my job is improving and i earn way more to do something else than sit. i can understand why at some point people call this game addicting, because its fun, but it ends up being like cigarettes: you get addicted to them, yes, games wont harm you, at least physically, but will shut you down from the world, or those who are close to you
Thanks to your advises.

I must say, you have far better english that one would expect.
How to deal with the lack of WoW? As others have said, you could do non-online stuff. Or perhaps you could play on different servers? The timezones might be different, but I'm sure the europeans accept a few "midnight" gamers. (Midnight for europe, that is).

Thanks for your praise.
I once had played on Taiwan servers but I didn't stay there for long. After all, severs in other countries or areas aren't for us and if I play there I will meet a lot fo problems such as high network delay, language problems or payment problems.Maybe Taiwan servers can be a choice,as for U.S. or European servers, these would not be a good choice,if I connect from China the network delay will be very high and the payment will also be a problem.

I hope no MMO companies decide to change their games to make dictators and corrupt governments happy. People in free countries should not have to accept that and get less interesting games just because the company wants to be able to sell it in china.
As a Chinese player playing on European servers, I'd just like to remind you all that this thread is on the topic of what you would do in days without WoW, as experienced by Chinese players right now.
Please don't degrade this into a flame-fest fueled by blind political myths based on stereotypes and Wikipedia.
Honestly I don't even like tea, and believe it or not my English may be much better than yours. So keep the discussion on topic please.
ONTOPIC:
I've been graced with luck to get a 1 week "work experience" period to shadow in the NetEase and Blizzard joint venture as part of my highschool curriculum last month. I have to say that development is indeed underway, but as the entire system has to be reworked (hundreds of GMs were hired the same week I went) so it may take more time to come back up.
I'm unaffected because I quit the game 2 months ago and play on European anyways :)
Glad to see another Chinese player here. And thanks for the information you provided. In fact I don't mind when the game could back.Life without WoW isn't so terrible and I am enjoy it.But I really hope that WoW could come back soon,I will wait for that day instead of playing on any other areas.
