My favorite moment in World of Warcraft would have to be when I got my first piece of tier 4. While to some this may not be much of an accomplishment, but to me at the time it was like lightning in my veins. Although I know now that Tier 4 isn't the best, i felt invincible for some reason. It's probably because I didn't get to do anything pre-BC due to being too low still.
I will always love the guild I'm in due to letting a weak little Retadin in their mix up so he could get geared, they are the best and if possible I want to bring them with me on all my horde adventures.

A few months ago, when my tauren druid was still my main, I was feral spec'd, and doing Alterac Valley. BG is usually not very exciting for me, though occasionally when I did premades I had a good time with it. One game I had was going really well, we had setup a good choke point along Icewing Bunker, blocking any alliance from getting through.
I myself was sitting in Stonehearth Bunker while it capped, just in case anyone had slipped through the bottleneck. A Night Elf feral druid showed up and we started into a 1v1 match that lasted the full 5 minutes it took to cap the tower. It was the most epic battle I'd ever had, using all of our forms, and heals; in the end I screwed up charging him and went out of the tower, but luckily just as he tried to defend the tower it finished capping, which was good, since at this point I was completely out of mana.
I do think he was a better player than me, but we were fairly evenly matched, and had I not made that mistake I probably would've had him. I ended up looking up his server forum later and posting something to say "thanks for the great match." It's definitely something I'll never forget.

I must say....a lot of these entries are rather uplifting and pleasant...I don't want to break the curve, but i DO want a beta key more xD
Anyway, my most memorable moment in WoW has to be when I was playing my very first Alliance character..her name was, and still is, Neraph, on Maelstrom. I made her almost 2 years ago, but I haven't yet gotten her to 70, hehe...too many alts....anyway, I was getting a run through Deadmines (my first run ever, mind you, I never thought I would get in again) from a level 69 warrior friend, who introduced me to World of Warcraft (bless him), when he disconnected. It had happened to me before, no big deal. But then he couldn't return..not because of his internet, but because of an account problem. Later on we learned that his account had been banned permanently on charges of harrassment, or something...but the one thing i could not get out of my head for the longest time was that I would never get my Smite's Mighty Hammer.....I'll never forget the torment i put myself through, thinking I'll never get another chance. I look back and laugh, but it was tough to keep playing at that point, lol, I must admit, and that is why it is my most memorable event in my WoW history.
Edit: That is my most MEMORABLE....memory >.>...of WoW. My favorite moment in WoW happened fairly recently. In one day, I managed, on my rogue, to hit Exalted with the Shattered Sun Offensive, buy the DPS necklace, run my first regular Magister's Terrace, key for Heroic, run my first HEROIC Magister's Terrace...and Quickening Blade of the Prince dropped... a Kara-equivalent offhand sword xD. This all took me about 2 hours, mind you. The group that keyed me did regular in like 30 minutes, or something insane(all thanks to insane healer regen), then did Heroic with me. It was a good day! My DPS shot through the roof after that day. :D

It's nearly impossible to pick out one single moment but there's one that stands out.
My wife and I had been married only a few months. We were both working while I attended graduate school, and with the help of a change check and some viciously horded savings we'd managed to buy two brand new computers and a new copy of WoW. We set up the computers together one evening, and installed WoW on both - we found ways to occupy ourselves while the absolutely massive patch downloaded. And finally got to sit down, side-by-side, and roll up two brand new characters together - his and her dwarven hunters.
Through one sweltering summer and one frigid winter we leveled those toons together.
Three years and two kids later, we still love nothing more than to sit side-by-side and quest til dawn - our priest/mage duo just hit 45!

My favorite moment? Too many to mention...
However one thing that really stands out is arriving in Hellfire Peninsula just after TBC release, where a silent-truce had been made between alliance and horde so there was virtually no ganking. I was grinding quests half asleep, minding my own business when the ground starts shaking and a colossal Fel Reaver comes by...
My first thought was '
Oh Snap! Thats one big mother
' followed by '
Ahhhh he's comming my way!
'; leaving the mob I was killing and high-tailing it outta' there!
Nothing like your first Fel Reaver experience =)

My favorite moment in WoW must have been the whole experience from Elwynn Forest trough Westfall, Redridge Mountains and Duskwood. My first character was a human, and I remember experiencing these zones for the first time was so epic, uncovering the story behind Deadmines and the Stockades, feeling the world was so incredibly huge that I didn't even know where to begin. I play horde now, but I still think that the four human starting zones are by far the ones best made in the game, and that Stormwind is the best city in the game. Nothing beats setting foot in Stormwind for the first time.

My favorite moment playing wow has to be when i took some time off on my main and made a human warlock named Pointillism. I decided to grind at level 6 inside the fargodeep mine, and was fighting other people for kills. This mage who i kept KS'ing decided to invite me to a group so we could grind together. It was really fun, so we decided to quest from level 7-12 together. Had a blast with him.

I think my favorite moment was when I just started playing, and didn't know anything at all, the concept of doing anything just killing was about it. So when I was about level 15 walking around lost in org I ended up asking people I was around in /say "How to do get out of here?" Since I had walked all the way there from the barrens. Pretty much didn't get any answer so I kept wandering around till I found rfc. When I was staring at the entrance a level 40 shaman walked up and asked if I wanted to be ran through it, I didn't know what exactly he meant and I agreed.
He blew up the instance of course, and back then I was like "That's insane" He just lol'd and said I'd be able to do it when I got to his level. I thanked him over and over again when he said it was done, also handed me about 10g and said save it. Also back then had no concept of how much gold was and freaked out saying no he didn't have to hand me anything but he insisted and went on his way. Since then I had a drive to get to 40 just so I could help people he did.
So my favorite moment is when I finally got 40, and spent the entire week after helping people with RFC who were around, also handing them gold afterwards because of the shaman that had helped me out. I think he's probley half the reason why when I got to 60 I went resto and haven't changed since. I find it more fun to heal and get people through things then anything and probley why I never have gold anyway lol
