My favorite moment is waaay back to the asian betas. Korean was it I think. When the betas were ending, the world was literally coming to an end - Dread Lords in the capitols, Infernals falling from the skies. I was a puny forsaken mage back then, not even made it to 20 levels. Watching the havoc and turmoil, me and a warlock I befriended during the very first levels walked around Brill. Drank a bit at Renee's inn. Communication was with emotes only, because he didn't speak English. Finally we went to the graveyards near the hamlet and lay down in the open graves. That was awesome ending :D

My favorite wow moment in my time of playing this game was very recent. Me and my irl friend were playing 2v2 rated arena games im a level 70 human warlock and he is a level 70 shockadin(spell damage paladin) our goal was to hit 1800 rating and it is extremely rare that a shockadin and warlock go anywere near that rating atleast on my server anyways. So my story takes off were me and my friend created our team and got it all the way to 1789 and we were really happy about it but soon after our next game we were caught my teams that outgeared me with thre s4 weapon and and shoulders im sure they just made a new team and were jsut bringing it up but either way we were brought abck down to 1589 I cant tell you how down we felt about it rofl but the point is we didnt give up and the next day we hit 1806 2v2 rating, if u were in our ventrillo server you would have herd us and how excited we were. This just shows me that if you have a friend that is willing to never give up on something you both want so bad in game or in real life you can achieve what you want to achieve as long as you dont give up we didnt give up and we hit 1806 as a shockadin/warlock combo wich many of our friends were laughing at us saying we would get slaughterd but we proved many people wrong who told us we wont get passed 1600 rating. P.s. Thoughs certain friends of ours that were laughing are not laughing any more.

it was our fourth night attempting kael, we had gotten him to the final phase twice in a row, this time with 23 still alive, things look good, then we hit our first gravity lapse, and like every other attempt we lose the majority of our members... great 13 left.. we manage to survive to the next pyroblast sequence, and needless to say w/o the dps he 1shots the tank and then commences to ping pong through our raid dismantling everyone showing no prejudice. at this point hes at 7% and things are looking grim, another below 10% wipe and our GM would have gone balistic....so i kick it into overdrive 6%, pop everything, rapid fire, trinkets, racial, beastial wrath, etc 5%... a shammy pops and lusts to give us a little boost 4% and 6 of us left, i feign and switch to viper, 3% 2 alive (another hunter). we run like our girls dad just walked in on us and hes an ex marine w/ a knife. 2% our other hunter goes down 1% its me and kael, heads up 1v1. 1% vent is going insane, theres hope, finally with a lucky 4 crit string and a few well used pots bandages healthstones later..... he dies. we did it... I did it! guild is going nuts, hyjal here we come. and as the final icing on the cake jumper cables work. and the raid rezzes. the loot was as follows:
t5 - hunter mage lock
t5 - warrior priest druid
t5 - warrior priest druid
the nexus key
royal gauntlets of silvermoon
t5 chests went to our two tanks and a mage who had joined 2 weeks ago

My absolute favorite moment in WoW was last year's Midsummer Fire Festival. I had just started playing my mage and current main character, Tasai, on a low-population pvp server, Auchindoun. A friend of mine had the brilliant idea of completing the midsummer fire festival quests, all of them.
So at level 34-36 we started with all the major cities, not a big deal. We continued to do the mid-level quests, get the flame at ashenvale, etc. Then we went to the plaguelands and burning steppes and whatever the upper-level quest was for. I don't remember, but it was higher level areas and we died constantly, but we did sucessfully retrieve all the flames and get our midsummer-shoulders and such.
But that wasn't enough. We couldn't get the wisp pet because we were too low to visit all the upper-level instances, but we COULD get the opposing city flames. So we trekked to and died our way into Stormwind, where we then didn't know where the flame was. Once we got to the canals, we could jump into the water and swim around until we saw the flame, then drowned, and rezzurect on top directly by the flame and the neutral npcs. So we got the stormwind flame, and the quest for it.
Sadly, though, we were too low-level for the quest, so we had to wait a year before turning it in :(

My second favorite memory was my first time in Karazhan. I didn't raid pre-BC, so this was my first taste of raiding. The only raid experience that matched Karazhan's environment and such was Black Temple. It's weird because while Karazhan felt so unknown and there were so many winding pathways, SSC and TK paled in comparison. TK was pretty much sterile and was very much like the new BC linear dungeons, and SSC, while wasn't sterile, just seemed like another naga instance. Hyjal was cool in a different way than Black Temple, but there was just something special about BT and Kara that made them different.
