When it comes to the game istelf, I would say that the most awe-inspiring memorable moment was the night BC came out. I walked into Hellfire Peninsula and just took it all in. Totally breathtaking. As a kid, one of my most favorite and often played games was Warcraft 2 and its expansion Beyond the Dark Portal. Seeing Draenor first hand, meeting Danath Trollbane and Khadgar. It was essentially the culmination of all my childhood memories of Warcraft thrown together. Exploring the ruins of Outland after the portal storms, an ending to a story I was so curious about for a decade because of those memorable characters that just disappeared, was top class.
If I wanted to be sappy though, I would mention that I met the love of my life on WoW, but that was a good deal more than a single moment so I'll leave it to the above! XD

My MOST memorable moment came recently on my main, a 70 mage on perenolde. I am obsessed with little play things, including mounts, pets, and funny looking clothes. In March, I began convincing a few of my friends to help me out in Zul Gurub (I told them we were mainly farming the epic mounts, but I was hunting for that elusive Polymorph Turtle Tome) After putting together 5 runs over 3 weeks, the Tome finally dropped, and a good friend of mine (a mage, who was on her first run here) rolled higher than me. I was master looter and wanted it so bad, and felt I deserved it for organizing all the runs, but I gave it to her. :( I never gave up though, and several months later (maybe around 46-50 more runs) I got my turtle: I almost cried....sad, I know. So my most memorable moment would be my first time casting that, turning a rogue into a turtle in AB. :)
P.S. If any mage wants to know the best way to farm that, hit me up, i'm pretty much the master at ZG now lol.

My very favorite moment so far was probably earning my Druid's epic flight form. The quest lines were so well-done and involving, using every possible ability in a Druid's arsenal. I really felt like I had accomplished something. :D

My favorite moments probably include when I finally dinged 60 with my rogue, my first 60. =) I was grinding on the mobs in Andorhol, getting my final snippet of EXP off of a
Searing Ghoul
...and spent about 10 minutes shouting and /yelling around Western Plaguelands afterwards. Gosh, I was such a cute little noob. XD
... this is followed in closely by when I first fought and killed
Ragnaros
. When I got punted into the air? I was just like... "WHEEE!" .... actually, I think I did go "WHEEEEE!" over Vent. I think I got yelled at for that, too. Ah well!
I don't think I had ever done anything as exhilirating as that in the game until that point. ^_^

My favorite moment has got to be the first time I saw Ragnaros. I hadn't "spoiled" the moment by looking at pictures or anything beforehand so I was completely taken off-guard. Majordomo summons this huge fire tornado who proceeds to one shot him and and start fighting us. My first thought was to run away and not look back, but the pull of loot was too strong =P

I've been playing the game for about 2.5 years, so when I saw this contest a lot of great moments immediately came to mind. But the one that really sticks out is something that made me realize how great in-game friendships can be.
It was on my first character, a nelf warrior. I had leveled into the 40s and had been in my first real guild since level 23 or so. There were a lot of other members in that guild around my same level. One evening, we decided we were going to make the trek to obtain the ZF mallet in the Hinterlands. The group started out with just a few people, but eventually grew to nearly a 20-man raid group of characters ranging from 35-60.
At that point, it became less of a quest to obtain the mallet and more of an in-game party. With a group that size, we made it to the Altar of Zul and then to the top of Jintha'alor in almost no time. But we continued running around the area, slaughtering trolls and joking around on vent for over an hour. To this day, I'm not sure I've ever had so much fun with a group of people in-game.
That guild no longer exists and I no longer play on that realm, but it was an outstanding experience that really made me understand that "MMO" is the most important aspect of an MMORPG. Since then I've been in a lot of other guilds and made a lot of other in-game friends, but that will always be one of my favorite WoW moments.

That first Dead Mines run you do at level 18/19/20. My wife and I had just started the game on our rogues, it was maybe the 3rd day since the game had gone live here in the EU. when you don't know what to expect from instances that first Dead Mines run sets the epic feel superbly. From the great music to the look, to stepping out after having blasted that cannon to hear Smite yelling about repelling the invaders and then the fight with Van Cleef as he summons adds and calls you out for being lapdogs. It's the best possible introduction to instancing and I will always remember my first run.
It set me up for an entire WoW career of instancing and raiding. And for that I'm grateful to Blizzard because I've had the great fortune to meet many good people and players and experience everything that has been up for offer.

I'm a Shadow priest on Hyjal us server, my favorite WoW moment has to be when i was first accepted into a raiding guild. It was pre bc and was jealous off all the raiders in t1 and t2, then i was finally offered a spot into MC and BWL as a tank (my warrior alt, which was my main pre bc)

I have a lot of favorite moments, but one of them that sticks out most in my mind is the opening of the AQ gates. There was what seemed like every player on the server out there, and the server kept crashing like crazy. Eventually it stayed up long enough for us to watch the gates open and see the giant Anubis guards come out...only to start stomping everyone to death while the ones far enough back to live ran. It was scary, funny, and awe inspiring all at once.

Oh man, my favorite moment I remember very clearly. My best friend bought WoW at release and I was stubbornly stuck to Star Wars Galaxies (worst mistake ever). He got up to about level 30 before I eventually broke down and bought WoW. When I had made it to about level 10 or so (undead), he took me from UC to Org and then ran me all the way from Org to TB while I had him on /follow. I was sooo blown away at the sheer size of the world, and when we got to Crossroads and there were alliance and horde battling it out non-stop--I was just amazed at how cool the game was. Coming from SWG where an entire planet was about the size of the Barrens, WoW just seemed so huge and immersive and so much more alive than SWG ever was. I've been hooked ever since.

Well, I've had many wonderful moments, but this one stands out.
My raid guild was working on Gruul. They bought in my protection paladin to tank during High King Mulgar, and I was also brought in to heal during Gruul (as prot spec, no idea. It just happened). We had some good attempts and some bad attempts, the time we downed him was a messy attempt.
Our main tank died at about 20%, our off tank jumped on MT duty and we had our remaining rogues off tank him as long as they could. DPS was pushing as hard as they could, but we were still dropping like flies. Trying to heal as best I could as Prot, I decided to blow some offensive abilities as well.
3%...
2%...
1%...
We down him with less than half the raid alive, and the killing blow came from me. A Tankadin on healing duty using Avenger's Shield. Oh... those were the days.
