What was that about the average age of Wowhead users..? :P
Lol, average age or average failure rate of classes. I should have finished collage 2 years ago, but working full time makes it go really slow.
Cheers,
Hat
....oh ya, there is also that addition to wow....but that doesn't make a difference does it? naaaaaa *Keeps playing*

Average failure rate works too, haha!
That reminds me, I might be getting back into studying - there's a masters course I have my eye on.

Let's talk about strategy games!
I'm looking for a game that de-emphasizes your 'main base.' Not a game without buildings, just not one where 90% of your production sits in your main base and you have almost no other buildings, other than perhaps one mining building near a mineral that you sit half your army on. The reason being, I really like 'raiding' enemy secondary targets, but such targets hardly exist in most games.
For example, in AoE III, I like to build up a bunch of spahis, and ambush anything not protected by a bunch of heavy infantry or base defenses. In practice that amounts to wood gatherers and trade centers (assuming your opponent builds plantations and mills in non-stupid places, and doesn't spread out his army). In other words, it's fun, but all I'm doing is damaging production of the least important resource in the game, and destroying something that takes 30 seconds to rebuild as soon as I clear out. I don't feel like there's any strategy game where constant raiding and disruption can be your main strategy. It's just a (mildly) helpful addition to the usual make a big army and ram it up your opponent's main base.

Have you tried Civilization?

Civ is far, far, far too buildy-buildy. Not to mention secondary outposts don't even exist when your empire is a unified entity.

Downloading the demo! Whatever did I do without Steam.

Try Sins of a Solar Empire. Lots and lots of planets to raid, and each one will damage your enemy's economy. Make sure to get Entrenchment with it, though. Star Bases makes defending much easier.
