Bloodworms and their Raiding Mechanic

How are Bloodworms supposed to work? Are they set to defensive or aggressive, because reports of both are fairly common. I've raided with them, no crazy attacking mobs. Other people zone in and when they spawn on autoattacking Mr. Bigglesworth, they run off and pull the whole Construct Quarter. It would be nice to know, as it could play a crucial part in raiding and talent mechanics.

If you PvE, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT take blood worms. There are too many issues with them.

But they are more dps than Rune Tap/Vampiric Blood, so why not take them. In raids I've been in, I've had no problems with them, but maybe that's good luck on my part.

I dont get your point... of course they are more DPS. The 2 talent you mentioned are not related to DPS and vamp blood is a tier over it.
Of course to move to Tier8 talents, you will need to spend points somewhere and the rest of talents at
this point
are more or less tank talents. But rune tap will make your healers happy.
And how can you say you do not have problem with them, but in your first post you say they agro the whole construct quarter?

Even tho I heard stories I have never seen them do anything bad, There was time Ive even seen them suck up the damage from chain lightning or something

Me i saw them screw up things. Getting feared in the wrong stuff. Attacking something not even related to the fight. Getting a debuff that was doing AoE damage to players around.

Yeah what Lynri pointed out and I forgot, they will "eat" shaman chain heal and the like.

AMS has been proven as a dps increase in many fights to be able to leech RP, essentially refilling your bar instantly
VB on the other hand can only use the weak argument of "cant dps if youre dead", which is especially weak for VB since it doesnt reduce damage nor heal you, it just makes you easier to heal, which means you were going to get healed anyways, or you need to use another self source for heals. I dont personally pay attention to healers mana since I have never heard of them going oom with the one exception of using only 1 healer for Thorim gauntlet without a replenishment.
Also while Ill admit they do die fast, and provide only a marginal dps increase. I have never seen them eat aoe/chain heal, since those smart heals they dont heal anything thats at full hp, which means only way they could steal a heal is if all your allies were full too, and I have yet to see a boss do so little damage that he wasnt able to flat out just kill the incredibly low hp worm
But as you said they are just a filler talent, and youre completely free to skip them if you wish, and no one would care much one way or the other.

Yeah Chain Heal are smart heals, but the worms are created and spawn with 50% hp then get to max (might not be easy to see due to the speed). So the heal can get em.

Ive had no problems with them. they usually jsut provide small dps boosts, but yeah, not sure bout the chain heals part cuz ive never noticed it.

While leveling, I really enjoyed having them for the self-healing.

Yea take them off. I like my little worms, till they pulled a mob in OS 25 :P
How...
OS doesnt have that many mobs, Worms would only have been around if you just finished fighting a group, and somehow not only survived, but the 2nd group was close enough to for them to even be able to pull with their short duration and their aggro range is less than hostiles npc aggro range, which means even if the worms didnt aggro them, they would have aggroed you... unless you gave the worms an attack command

You can send them an attack order by using one of your attack abilities, they will assume youve started attacking and join in the attack
