I don't agree. Lock at long distance racing like Le Mans, you can have one team doing everything absolutely spot on, no mistakes at all and still lose to another team with a slightly faster car. Or you can have a football team perform to it's absolute limit and still be beaten by a team with stronger players. In which case it isn't a balanced setup. If Alliance chars did 10% more damage than Horde chars, then yeah, the Horde could play better than the Alliance and still lose.
In balanced PvP, all you need to do to win is be better than your enemy.
I wouldn't mind losing a BG if our side had a game plan, communicated, all strived for perfection and then lost to a team that executed their game plan even better, sometimes you are just overmatched and out played. But losing to an unorganzied bunch of zerging hooligans just because our side has even less of a clue really annoys me..Get an organized guild :)

Honestly, if my team is losing, I tend to just do the same thing as everyone else. Because every time I think I might have a bright idea, some mob of 8-10 enemies make it their sole purpose to kill me. I found it much more wise to just stick with what other people are doing so I don't get facepalmed every three seconds and so I actually get some honor. That's why I normally PvP on my rogue: I can usually go wherever the flip I want without some Ret Pally coming along to own me, and I can actually help out my team by quietly capturing strategic points of interest.

You always have a group of people camping the cliffs below the graveyard in WSG. I usually join them for a bit and that turns out to be like 10 minutes of mindless killing, then everything get serious some guy starts screaming at everyone and someone finally caps a flag. This is then repeated 2 more times.
Aaaaaah the wonders of WSG.

Or you have the flag running druid in WSG outrun his healers and support, running straight into the returning enemy flag team and getting killed while you are just out of reach to do anything about it.
This is, hands down, the most common and annoying mistake I see in BGs. It's like the speed boots are heroin and the flag carrier is a junkie. He just can't resist.
The only time the flag carrier should speed ahead of his support is when he's checked the map and determined that his team controls the ground outside of tunnel/ramp (depending on where he's going.) My guess is that that's been done about 1% of the time. Usually he runs directly into a mob of opposing team members, he gets ganked, and his support (that he just ran ahead of) arrives 5 seconds later.
