im trying to find information pertaining to why agility>attack power...does agility add to attack power on a druid like it does a rogue? or is it all for crit and dodge? i would think some strength would be a plus but i dont see anything about that on forums....i would be very grateful for any help and or links to answer this...ty:)

You get crit from agility, but it also gets a multiplyer from Surival of the fittest and with again with kings. Sometimes, a class might benefit from AP if their gear score is really really low and just can't get enough AP from gear, but if you are raiding at all, you should be passed that point and get more out of agility.

Agility does not grant AP.
Cat Form
grants AP based on Agility (PS: Read the Tooltip, note that "40" is actually YourLevel*2 in-game).
Regarding DPS, Agility grants 1 AP and some Crit. 1 Agility vs. 2 AP would be pretty close if it weren't for Improved Mark of the Wild, Blessing of Kings, and Survival of the Fittest, which all grant multipliers to Agility which do not affect pure AP.
The only AP modifier which does not apply to Agi-based AP is the 20% on your Weapon from Predatory Strikes. On a weapon, 2 AP and 1 Agi score very close (Agi still wins when considering Kings).
Strength and Agility score very close to each other in terms of DPS-increase (Str and Agi will almost always be your two highest valued stats--or ArPen at very high gear levels--which one is higher is gear dependent). The reason druids don't stack Strength is because there isn't much Leather Strength gear -- there's nothing
bad
about strength.

Except that it's slightly worse than AGI, so we never gem it. Or enchant.
Go AGI, can't be that far off with that.
Yeah, I should probably just stop offering any sort of insight or depth in my responses. I mean, I basically said the same thing as you, but I did it in more than two lines, and that's bad (I'd type more, but I'm at my 2 line limit).
