I'll have to disagree with your choice of gems. All gem slots regardless of socket bonus should be Blue +30 stam gems. Unless it's required for your meta.
As well as the cape enchant, +22 agi is superior to defense/armor and +23 agi (Engineering enchant) owns them all. :)
i agree with the 30 stam gems, as stam is a flat increase in HP, and is more reliable than RNG.
Tho one can argue that stacking stam would not decrease the amoutn of dmg taken, thus not decreasing the stress on the healers, avoidance suffers severe diminishing returns from gear already.
I dont think theres anyone with too much stam atm, since all new bosses smacks pretty damn hard.
although i did see the craziest tank ive seen so far.... DK TANK WITH 44K HP UNBUFFED ! HAX D:
however, plz explain ur reasoning why agi is best to cloak? show math behind it pl0x. :D

Though, I know Crit rating > Agility for dk dps.
not only that, haste > agi for dps.
atleast for blood :P

Gemming and Enchanting is dependent on the current gear you have, so I'd rather keep more options open for those who may not have certain slots.
Though I will try to highlight the more important ones.
Also, price is a factor which varies realm to realm so...for example:
Subtle Cardinal Ruby
+
Solid Majestic Zircon
=
Regal Dreadstone
X 2
Depending on which combination is cheaper and/or available at the time, may affect your decision.
Also, depends if you are getting a gem cut instead of buying straight out of the AH.
Nah with price I actually meant that having the Scarlet Ruby version in the list next to the Cardinal Ruby one might be a good idea. Same for enchants: +275 health on chest costs like 5 times more then +200 health on chest. Especially when starting to gear up those 75 hp difference are hardly worth hundreds of gold.
On expertise (since you have a ? there): 6.5% expertise is the absolute minimum, everything else is seriously hurting your threat. But as tank you will generally want to stack expertise to 15% since that reduces parry hasted events which are one of the main reasons for tank death in hard modes. That's why I'd also make the Guardian's Dreadstone bold ... in fact I think it's the best gem a tank can put into a red socket (unless he is at 15% expertise already).

"Expertise 6.5 min • 15 Target"
That's 6.5% reduction in chance to be dodged or parried, which amounts to
26 expertise
, the
soft cap
, and *that* is the target.
14% is the parry cap, and you can't really shoot for that without sacrificing other stats.

What about Nightmare tears to fill out Meta requirements? (+10 stat prismatic gem)

I think the Tuskarr > Greater Fortitude is debatable.
Well when you get gibbed by failing to exit a WW, Fail to move Grob quickly enough to get dps outta clouds, Fail to get to a boss/add pickup on multitarget fight, fail to successfuly pull auryia without wiping the raid (and theres many more situations than this) then you will begin to see how mobility can be a major factor in raids.
Especially
as a tank where your job is to control the battle itself.
But I could see how the extra 7 stamina could serve you much better.
Thats just you not paying attn. once you learn to think ahead you will not need (
minor
run speed increase) which isn't anything. don't make good tanks pick "newbie tank" tanking enchants.
exitting WW - when they start its not tko use a IBF then run.
Moving grobb - you back up faster than the clouds expand just move.
ADDDS! - learn to taunt and use DnD and HB(if specc'd frost)
auriaya - DnD last 10 seconds learn to anticipate.
Honestly comon i dare you to name other situations. I DARE YOU!

The debate here is EH vs Avoid.
Noone can say that for everyone EH>Avoid nor EH<Avoid. EH is best until you get into higher gear (imo untill gear gives >30k life)
then 30 stam is no longer better than 20 dodge rating. it takes ~60 dodge rating to give 1% dodge (imo 1%dodge>90stam after you got >30k life)
PS: since switching out my 30stam for 20 dodge rating I've noticed a increase to my survivability. But that may be just me.

Hey Keeanp, nice guide. There is no need to make a guide for drops, there already is one afaik. But to clear up the gem section abit:
Meta:32 stam, 2% armor
Rest, 30 stam except one nightmare tear for the meta.
15 stam / 15 dodge for red sockets with +9 or +7 stam socket bonus.
15 stam / 15 exp for yellow sockets with +9 or +7 stam socket bonus.
