Rebellicious - European Gaming Community for Older Gamers (30+)is recruiting for WoW Forever, Alliance and Roleplay, EU region.
Gaming on Your Terms Since 2016
Rebellicious is an European gaming community for older gamers, created in 2016 and based in Amsterdam. This laid-back, English-speaking collective welcomes MMORPG players from their thirties to their nineties and beyond who understand that real life comes first. What makes us special is our simple approach: play when you can, play what you like, and play it your way. We're looking for gamers who embrace the community as their virtual home and are motivated to stick around for the long haul.
We have an age requirement of 30+ but no level requirement, both new and experienced players are welcome. Rebellicious is a small, close-knit community, and deliberately so. Our chapters in individual MMORPGs are kept to a manageable size, so people actually know each other rather than being just another name on a roster. We rotate between MMORPGs depending on what’s holding our attention, and a lot of us play during the day and early evening rather than burning the midnight oil.
Your Gaming Path, Your Choice
Whether you dedicate yourself to mastering a single game all year or enjoy hopping between multiple virtual worlds, both approaches find a home here. Our dedicated single-game players often become valuable mentors, while our game-hoppers bring fresh perspectives and cross-game insights.
Guild Independence
Members receive guild permissions to use buffs, pick up and turn in quests, and access everything needed for an independent gaming experience without putting the guild at risk.
Linux Gaming
We focus on MMORPGs that work smoothly on Linux and recommend Bazzite as our distribution of choice. Need help switching? Our Linux forum on our website has experienced members ready to assist. But we won’t hold it against you if you are still in the clutches of big tech.
Matrix instead of Discord
We've left Discord and moved to our own Matrix server for text, voice and video chat with encryption and privacy. No data mining and no handing over government-issued IDs to keep chatting about video games. As long as you are a member of Rebellicious, you get your own personal address: @yourname:older-gamers.eu, all yours, hosted on our own infrastructure. The clever bit: that address works everywhere on Matrix, not just on our server. Chat with us, then use the same account to join rooms on other Matrix servers too, no extra sign ups, no extra passwords. We also created a social website on our private server with an activity wall, forums, events and personal profile pages.
Diversity & Inclusion
We celebrate the complete spectrum of human diversity and welcome LGBTQ+ individuals, people of all ethnicities, and neurodivergent members. We stand firmly against fascism and discrimination of any kind.
