Oh well this seems pretty random enough for me to put into this forum so here I go.
Last night before I went to bed I left my computer on, I sorta fell asleep while reading webcomics. And today whilst I was away at school some electrician shut the power down in our house so my computer turned itself off and when the power returned it turned itself on again. When I came home from school eager to start gaming I sadly found out. I have no internet connection.
When I go into the network place thingy on my computer, There where you see your connection types and have a set of options to what you can do with them. The icon that gives me my sweet threadless internet connection is missing. There's only there Hamachi icon, The local wich i dont use. I've Done the reset option where i sorta " rewind " computer status to 2 days ago. No change there. And I've been looking for the option where you're computer search for available network connections but no luck so far. Have I forgot something? I'ts just Windows Xp. And I haven't had this problem before.
My brother got help for some nasty viruses and got some good help here at wowhead so i thought I'd give it a shot.
Thanks In Advance.

Edit: Don't know what to do about your computer problems though.

Well, try this. Disconnect from your modem or cable, shut down your computer, turn off your internet completely.
Leave it alone for about 10 minutes to be on the safe side.
Power back your modem on, then hit the reset button on both your modem and your transmitor (I refer to the 2nd part of the system where one receives the internet while the other sends it out by X yards for computers to pick up.)
Turn your computer back on, and try to connect again. Give it about 10 minutes again for the connection to get established. If it is still not working, call your ISP for other instructions.

Recycle bin has nothing to do with this...

Yeah. I wasn't meaning this thread should be in recycle bin. It was just the OP's first post, so I was making that person feel welcomed.
