If i equip my

(engineering goggles) as well as use "find minerals", do both mining nodes and gas clouds appear on my minimap? Or is more like a dual gatherer, who only sees one at a time?

They both show up, as "find gas" is a passive effect on the goggles, while "find minerals" is an active tracking mode.

Yep, mining nodes and gas clouds will both show up. I love flying around Sholazar in my helicopter collecting saronite and eternal fire/water. :-P
