Retardin Gearing for PvP - I'd like advice

Right, so I'm gearing up for PvP. Already in full Savage Saronite, Hateful Gladiator helm, got my Titansteel Destroyer, my Anvil of Titans and stun-breaking Medallion trinkets, and am a 440 Blacksmith able to socket up my gloves and bracers.
I do not plan on doing Arenas (maybe a match or two for the LOLz, nothing ever serious), though I do enjoy Battlegrounds, Lollergrasp, and keeping an eye on /WorldDefense to show up and wreck someone's day.
I also partner with my IRL buddy, who plays a DK that, at the moment, vastly outgears me with most Hateful and several WG pieces. In Frost Pres he's almost at 30k HP and hits like a truck.
Gear-wise, I'll be wearing mixed honor and WG pieces -- probably wearing the WG boots and belt, the rest honor gear.
What I'm looking for is some advice as to what enchants and gems I should be looking for. Should I be stacking as much STR as possible, Crit, Stam, Resil...?
Personally, I liked the idea of stacking as much pure Strength as possible, with little regard to Crit (as Resilience will negate most of it) or Stam/Resil (disregard survivability to hit harder -- besides, that's what Bubble is for, right? XD ) But this is just me throwing out a concept with no testing. Any experienced Retards have good advice here? Examples of what I should be wearing gem and enchant-wise? Wowarmory.com examples?
Any advice would be highly appreciated. :D

That's really gonna get you alot of positive responses :)
Most DPS classes including ret paladins chose to go for a PvE itemization.
Just going for pure damage really. Since if they're not going to burn down the enemy they wont ever be able to outlast them.
If you cant make a healer hurt enough for them to do nothing but heal heal heal heal you're gonna end up dying.
Some like a bit more survivability and therefore get more PvP gear that has alot of resi/stam.
It's up to you what you wanna do.
Look through the 5v5, 3v3, 2v2 brackets of the arena for ret paladins. The most highly rated most oftenly know what they're doing.

That's a very good point, and one I haven't thought too long and hard about. I always planned on wearing PvP gear and then thinking of damage second, as Resil seems like a no-brainer to have, but I have been noticing all the non-PvP geared people who seem to steamroll me -- namely Mages and other ranged DPS.
My thinking was, stack as much Strength as possible, since most PvPer's will have enough Resil to pretty much mitigate my crits almost completely -- making Crit Strike almost useless to stack. Resil, however, won't mitigate my pure base damage.
And really, with that concept, gearing PvE would pretty much fit exactly what I'm going for. And my DK buddy has little problems surviving with so much health and Resil that I figured I might as well go the pure damage route.
Perhaps I should go the PvE gear route for Ret, and perhaps save my WG marks and Honor for my Holy set? Seems Resil would be a much more useful stat for a Holy pally who REALLY doesn't want to get hit hard.
...alright, if you couldn't tell, I'm a ranter, and pretty much type anything that comes to mind. >_> More thoughts?
