So... I'm currently on break from WoW at the moment. Haven't played since December because of work and college. However, school is ending in two weeks... and I'm excited to get back into WoW especially with the new expansion. I got to play a little bit on my friend's DK the other day and it was so fun to see how his DK was able to take on multiple mobs (Frost Spec) and hardly took any dmg. My main at the moment is my lvl 70 BE Mage.
My question is... should I continue with my lvl 70 Mage... or start up a DK?
And yes, I know... I heard about all the DKs overpopulating the servers... lol!

I recommend you play a Death Knight through their starting zone, it's not very long, but it's a lot of fun. Then level your mage to 80. This will maximize the new content you see.
After that you can decide if you want to keep up with your DK, and then you'll have gone even longer without doing Outland, so it'll be less boring.

There is a reason they overpopulate... :)
I play one for a couple hours a week as an alt. But even if you dont plan to play one, at least do the starter zone. Such an awesome awesome zone. By the end of it you have a basic idea of their rediculous power during Outlands. (maybe even after, but I'm currently not past outlands yet)

Just doing the starting HFP quests as a DK versus doing them as any other class first going into outland, the difference is quite clear. Mostly it's that they start with outlands level blues though
