As topic stats im looking for advice reguarding a new computer im gonna make.
Im think im gonna run a setup like this:
*Intel Core™ 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz, SocketLGA775, 6MB, 1333Mhz BOXED w/fan
*Asus P5Q PRO, P45, Socket-775, DDR2,ATX, GbLAN, Firewire, 2xPCI
*Corsair Dominator TWIN2X PC8500 4GB DDR2Kit w/2x 2GB XMS2-8500 dimm's, CL5-5-5-15, 1066MHz, E.P.P, DHX
*Chieftec Super Series PSU 750W Modulær14cm Fan, 4x SATA, 2x 6 pin PCIe, 20/24
*Gainward GeForce GTX 275 896MB PhysXPCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI, HDCP, HDMI, CUDA, Graphics Plus, 3D Stereo
*BenQ 24" LCD E2400HD TCO031920x1080, 1000:1, 2ms, VGA/DVI/HDMI
*Western Digital VelociRaptor 150GB,10000RPM, SATA, 3 Gb/s, 16MB
As far as hardware is concerned i think this will be more than enough to run wow smooth but im allways open for comments, is there some place i should upgrade? and yes i know some might be overkill but when im still buying a new rigg i wanna make sure i can run wow smooth in all settings with addons in what ever place and raid i might be in. (currnetly getting 5 fps on high aoe places in naxx25, NOT GOING BACK THERE )
And for software im thinking x64 bit vista, how does this work with wow since im running x32 xp on my current rigg.
Plz comment what ever you might find odd or w/e since its a jungle out there on the market now with tons off things too choose from :)

You'll have no issues running WoW with that system.

Well money is a issue but here in norway its not a very expensive rig.
on the issue of PSU i changed to
Silver Power PSU, 850W, 120MM Fan,Blue Light, ATX/EPS, 2xPCI-E, 20/24pin
And i have decided to try windows 7 as a 64bit platform and my old 32 bit xp as backup.
as for the RAM upgrade ill wait for my next pay to dubbel it up.
Regarding the gfx card i think ill stick with it since its a "weekly offer" at a norwegian netstore that imo offers great value for the cent. atleast compared to the xfx and evga with both costs 50% more
( roughly in norwegian KR its 250 euro for the one im on and 380 euro atleast for gtx 275)
Any1 know how much power that card in sli config would req? (as it is a option if i should need more juice)

You don't need more than ~600W for a system like that unless you are planning on grabbing another GFX card and running SLI (which you may find hard with that mobo as it doesn't support SLI). I use
this
with that same proc and a GTX 260 (which uses more power because the GPU was cast on a 65nm die vs the 275's 55nm die) and I have no problems with power consumption. Just be careful though, the PSU is the one part I always buy name brand and never skimp on. Get a bad one and say goodbye to your
entire
system. Corsair and Antec are both brands I would recommend.
Also, keep in mind that while XFX and EVGA are both more expensive than most brands, they both offer some of the best customer support in the industry and lifetime warranties. EVGA even lets you overclock your card (and provides tools to help you) without voiding the warranty.
All in all though, that system seems like overkill for a game like WoW.
