Hi guys,
I've read a few posts in the Warrior, PvP, and Professions sections, and can't really find anything that guides me in a clear direction with my problem.
I may just be an idiot, or maybe it's not actually there, but anyway, I hope you can forgive me and help me.
So, I just dinged up to level 70 and scrapped a hell of a lot of 69 gear, replacing it with a lot of fancy new stuff that has various equip bonuses, and more importantly, sockets. Problem is, I'm not so great with numbers, and don't have a fantastic grasp of the mechanics/ mathematics of the game (yet), so I'm not sure what I should be gemming for.
I guess it's important you know I'm very much a PvP player at the moment - I do little to no Questing, and I'm not bothered about being able to dip in and out of it. I can pick that side up again anytime.
Previously, I just stacked a hell of a lot of crit bonus from equipment, and what little gem sockets I had, mostly reds, went on Armor Penetration, because I could have swore I read someone saying that was improved in the last patch. All in all, it worked pretty well for me - generally, for the 60-69 brackets, I was top damage, KB's and HK's, any time of the day or night.
However, now, I have 3 Red Sockets, 3 Yellows, and 2 Blues, either empty, or cheaply gemmed with rubbish, and I don't really know what to do with them. So what should I be sticking in them?
I'll post my Armory link if I really have to, but have been trying to avoid that to date. Some numbers though are:
Hit: 133
ArP: 107
Crit: 328
Defense: 28
Dodge: 24
Resilience: 119
Apologies for the wall of text, and thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Hi again, thanks for the info :)
I slotted a few cheap Crit and ArP gems into my stuff (bit strapped for cash at the mo, so didn't get the best of the best), and I have noticed a general improvement in my performance - more and bigger hits basically, and the bads dropping a bit faster ;)
Anyway, I'm gonna link my armory profile, and if anyone has some further suggestions for becoming a more effective PvP Warrior at level 70, I'd love to hear them. If need be, I'll grind however much cash it takes to get what I need, as long as it's something that can be bought.
So here's me:
Teillagory
and if any of you are EU players and I have shouted at/ insulted/ offended you in BG's, I apologise :p

Until you hit lvl 80, if you`re tanking gem for stamina/def rating. After 80 gem for defense (till capped) then stamina. Pretty simple. Hit helps a lot too. Maybe some haste (tanks prefer faster weapons and melee get more out of haste than casters anyway). Still, def cap is priority at 80. Str and resilience are both solid choices too.
Come on, at least read the first post.
Anyway, haste is not good for tanking, and it certainly isn't true that "melee get more out of haste than casters". In case you didn't know it, haste rating reduces the global cooldown for casters, but not for melee. For melee, it only increases our autoattack speed, not the number of abilities we can use in a given time span. So it is generally a far better stat for most casters than for most melee.

You still haven't bothered to take a look at the first post. I'll give you an important point from it:
he's not a tank!
Stamina is fine for PvP, but defense isn't.

As to tips at pvping at 70, I'd try looking at your spec first. I'd drop Cruelty (Crit isn't all -that- useful), Puncture (Devastate should only really be used when you're focused, so you have infinite rage, in which case, it isn't that useful have it cost less), and splurge them on Arms (Deflection 5/5, Imp Charge 2/2) and Armored to the Teeth (3/3). Build is
here
.
Tested your build tonight, it's excellent, so thank you very much - the Improved Charge helps my rage a LOT (in fact, I had trouble dumping some of it sometimes!) and the Armoured to the Teeth definitely helps my base damage a lot, and I only really lost a few % crit, nothing to cry about.
I still have to get together some money for your gemming suggestions, but so far, I owe you a big thanks, this has really helped :)
