Problems with the AddOn "BankItems"

I've been using BankItems for quite sometime now and I can't figure out how to solve this little bug.
Recently, I deleted a character. However, this characters name and bank/inventory/gear/mailbox (prior to deletion) still appears in the BankItems character drop down menu. This isn't a detrimental bug, its just annoying. I've uninstalled it, deleted the said characters profile in the WTF folder, rebooted, etc.
Any ideas?

Sadly that's just a bad bug.
Now that I think about it... Isn't it a bit odd that it's a bag and bank viewing addon... That remembers when deleted chars had certain items...?
Thinking about dropping it now.

Try navigating to this file: <Path to your WoW Directory>\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\Saved Variables\BankItems.lua
This is (most likely) where all of that addon's information is being stored. Now you have two options, you can either completely delete it (resetting the ENTIRE addon in the process), or you can try and edit out the information pertaining to your deleted character with something like notepad. Option #1 is the easiest, and safest if you're not familiar with Lua, but Option #2 will preserve the settings for your other characters.

Actually, looking at the .toc, BankItems seems to save the info in \WTF\Account\<ACCOUNT_NAME>\SavedVariables\BankItems_Save.lua, rather than the character specific SavedVariables folder.
edit: Once again, note to self: reload pages before posting response.

Hmmm...I found the BankItems files but no "BankItems_Save.lua". I deleted all of these files yet upon reinstallation the problem persists.
Any new suggestions?

Thank you Wanderingfox and Rizzo79. The issue still persists in 2017 Patch 7.1.5 but using
/bi clearall
command solved it.
