7 minutes before the end of 2012 I found this girl in a chat, and I have spent the last five days either chatting with her or being out with her. She is totally crazy about me. Would be nice if this time, it actually worked up fine.

My fat finger hit 3 instead of 2 (hard to type with an iPhone). So that's my fault >.<
But the problem is the way it is written. Some people have it confused that only the 6 is above the /. Making the rest under it and the answer is 1. But some of them use a division sign so it turns out to 9. If they put parenthesis around the first half, it would solve a lot of problems.
I get 9 either way it's written, but it can be confusing to some.
You're correct, some people aren't very experienced with equations being written out in simple text form like the example here. But, for the answer to be 0.75 it'd have to be written as 6/(2(1+3)).

There's very little stuff to be affected with these days, which I guess was also the primary reason for your exercise in narcissism.
Also, 'bothered' is a strong word. "Something more nuanced perhaps; gulled, vexed, annoyed. Safer still: displeased."

You're not reading the subtext properly, Saggy. He's clearly fatigued and frustrated by a world that cares nothing for his worth as a human being. Every morning, he wakes up, and to what? A smelly apartment, a dead-end job, and an ugly wife. He thinks, maybe if he'd have gone to medical school like his mother wanted, things would be okay right now. But then, he remembers how much of a nagging house-frau his mother was, because his doctor father was never home to satisfy her womanly needs. And then he realizes that things are different for everyone, because people are all different, and that's okay. He feels better, at least momentarily, and after yawning off the cares of days gone by, he is looking toward the future with hope.
At least, that's how I interpreted it...
