Speaking of fergie, her laptop commercial came on 3 TIMES IN A ROW.
I like the pedestal song, but when you hear a 30 second instrumental of it 3 times in a row while she talks about deep sea fishing with her dad, it gets annoying.

well pop and r+b and "hip hop" sound the same to me
(though I'm not sure how they sound the same to you, metal is much louder, at least)
They all sound extremely loud, pointless, emo and annoying to me.
Pop has noticeable rhythmic element, melodies and hooks, a mainstream style and a conventional structure, and is usually less than 5 minutes long.
Rhythm and Blues(Better known and RnB) is a modern version of soul and is influenced by the funk of pop music and originated as disco faded from popularity.
Hip Hop is a music that varies with many stylistic origins and is "ghetto", it usually involves break dancing or hip dancing moves and slang words, and is generally mixed by DJs.
Rap is basically just a part of hip hop, its one of the four main "elements" for it. But its developing into it's own genre of music.(MCing is the correct name but is better known as rap)
