Also, I looked up Elfen Lied. I have to agree with you guys, it's kinda fanservice-y. In place, I'm watching School Days. I heard the ending was %^&*ed.

Seriously though, I used to think the same thing. While I don't watch regularly, though, I can now say without shame there are several anime shows and movies I enjoy.

When your first anime is a terrible ecchi/harem, it sort of gets stapled into your brain that all anime is probably the same and that you should just accept it as it is.
I should've started with DBZ or Pokemon or something...

But, it seems that the ones I've run into, or have watched previously border on, "Childish story with no sexuality," and, "Mature story with sexuality." I think the only anime I woul watch again would be Fullmetal Alchemist.
I grew up with Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, and DBZ as a kid. I then, started watching shows like Bleach, FMA, and Inuyasha. The more I seemed to sift through more and more mature anime, the more sexual scenes, remarks, etc, were mentioned or shown.
It just seems tasteless to me.

I've seen somewhere over 15 episodes of Code Geass. I think we may have different interpretations of 'sexual content'I have no room to talk about maturity or inoffensiveness...one of my favorite movies is Sin City, lol.And that's fine. This is just my opinion.
