His parents could be much more educated than the qualified people, you never know. Also, in homeschooling the rules are much more loose, time is shorter of having to study and etc. Plus, you can always hang out with your friends outside of school.

I'm not, you basically give up the ability to hang out with your freinds for the ability to be taught by unqualified people.
I thought parents were the most qualified individuals to teach thier children. Perhaps some government appointed agent would be a better choice. The government always has our best interests in mind, after all.

but, if you where homeschooled they probably wouldn't be your friends because there would be little opportunity to meet people, and most of the people you met would be the children of your parents freinds, your neighbors, etc.
Peoples only friends aren't from school.
How do you think people out of school meet people?
Kids don't just go to school then go home and just go back to school.

Thronarr, this is possible, but not definate. My wife and I homeschool our daughter. We work with the school district to ensure we have materials, and that they are reviewed twice a week by a professional. After we use the scrub, very basic, and uninteresting material that every other poor student recieves in public school, we open up the horizons of learning and delve into extraordinary stuff. We are teaching her about all sorts of things. She has read more books than most people twice her age, and gets more one on one attention than almost any other student. She amazes me with what she learns, and the questions she asks.
As for social stuff... she had a birthday party the other day and invited all her friends, which filled our house. We are enrolling her in soccor, so she will have plenty of interaction there. We have been looking at the boys and girls club, swim lessons, and other social activites, which are healthy. Public school does NOT offer a healthy social environment.
Also, I'm not going to mention the fact that she has an entire church social environment, because this will only invite more stereotypical views.

edit: mytie, also, you are almost definitely not giving your child any more than one or two very similar views on the subjects of religion and politics, while a public school (at least mine) allows numerous disagreements and debates in these areas.
I allow disagreements and debates in all areas inside my house. Argueing, no. Debate, sure. I'd like to see how you would hold up against my daughter in a debate about anything. She's pretty clever. She is also a social butterfly. We went to a wedding, which I knew a few people, and she hadn't met hardly anyone. By the end of the night everyone was her friend. She can walk into a room and light it up. She doesn't have to 'learn' how to cope with 'reality' in public school. Public school needs to raise its standards to reality.
Also, she takes part in extra curricular classes provided by the school district. When you are home schooled, you don't stay at home all day.
I dunno. Keep up the idea that public school offers this essential course in social stuff. When you have to compete with my kids in the real world you're gonna get a wake up call.

Well, young girls around that age do have an uncanny ability to easily become friends with others, bro. I'm not saying your little girl isn't one to brighten a room and bring a smile to others, but to assume she is significant above other children in social skills might be just your parental view on her. ;)
Then again, I'm no expert, nor am I a father, so.. I'll shut up.

I hope not. Even if she were terrible in social settings, I don't believe public school is a good place to pick those skills up from. Society would be so much better off if no one did.
