I tried to Dowload EQ2 but it said 4 hours so I let it download and came back in three. Then I saw my CPU overheated and I lost everything I downloaded (Toshiba laptops overheat too much and randomly disconnect from the internet, I hate it)

Two things come to mind as possible:
1) You are doing something wrong.
2) The servers are down for an update.
I'd say the first one is more likely.
