What should be the next heroic class?

The talent trees are already like choosing a "hero class", warlocks can turn into demons or have loads of DoTs, warriors can use 2 2-hd weapons or have bladestorm, etc. etc.
Anyways, I think that a dragonblood class could be pretty interesting, basically a green-drake in a humanoid form (which could be any race basically), you could have a healing tree, a DPS tree, and a damage/support tree, and green dragon would fit perfectly with the emerald dream expansion. The green dragons could be requesting aid in the dream and it would also explain how other classes could get in the dream, if the green flight opened up portals and helped the races fight against the corruption. And seriously, how epic would it be to have a class that could turn into a drake travel form instead of having a flying mount?
BTW the poster above me hasn't played a DK if he doesn't think they can tank as well as or better than other classes.

I have to agree, tho it be more of a utility/healing class. Id actauly like this, there would be no problems with it being horde or alliance since dragons care (or hate in deathwing's case) for all or most of them.

I love the idea, but wouldnt the dragon be in the form of that humanoid forever? I wouldnt mind, infact if the game them a replacement race (like replaces the "use" racial the race you chose had) and that would give you a dragonoid (humanoid dragon or w/e) cloak/aura. Guessing it could boost boost your stats by % of your level for like 1 min.

What about a mele class that deals high damagebut....wears cloth. ie jedi!
Or Monk.
Next Hero Class: Pandaren Brewmaster. Only time you can play as a Pandaren, and it's open to both sides. (somehow)
In all seriousness: I would like to see a Caster that has few Direct Damage spells, but makes up for it with proficiency in Melee Combat and Buffs/Debuffs.
Which i Guess would be some mix between a Monk and a D&D style Bard (not the April Fool's joke one)
EDIT: A major reason: When asked what role your class fills, the thought of saying "Support DPS" sounds amusing to me.

Tho i would not mind a spellcaster that uses range spells to do physical damage. Like a gravity mage lol... But still i like the idea of the dragon, it be good to lore and wouldnt kill race lore...

The current issue imo with hero classes is their implementation. Due to being able to spec into three trees, every niche within the game can be filled by the current classes available. DKs are arguably all frill in this sense. In fact, Blizz changed the environment in order to carve out a very small niche for DKs.
I agree with a previous poster that the hero class would have been better implemented as a progression of your current class. Or even, having the option to multiclass given certain reqs are met. For example, after speccing certain talents in the priest Disc and Holy tree you could gain access to a watered down Fury-esque tree restricted to staves and fist weapons ... monk anyone?
An even larger issue is the fact game must be balanced. This limits what Blizz devs can and can't implement. In order for the playing field to remain leveled (more or less), we have to deal with the class mechanics Blizz has already established. Basically, its hard to implement anything profoundly different without rocking the boat (and losing subscribers).
Unfortunately due to these mechanics, we aren't likely to see anything that is really "new" from future hero classes.

Rune master would fit Emerald Dream and Northrend in quite a few aspects, id love to see them a playable class even they where possibly tuned to melee damage. I would just be worried that the people who don't know much of rune lore would go "OH EM GEE, MOAR ROONS, BEE OREEGEENOL BLEEZARD!".. Yeah... But id love to be able to play as a rune master. As long as if they alowed runes carved into the body would be visable.
