Part of wow my man, i hate it too, but all you can do is to counter them with the same crap they are giving you unfortunately. Easier to deal with if you are a pally lock or hunter as i kno for a fact they have ways of distracting or fending off the attackers, priests shud be able to as well. yeah whats ur class and who's doin this to ya?

So I'm tired of getting my mining nodes stolen from me, particularly on the Isle of Quel'Danas. These are my questions:
Is it at all possible to report someone for stealing a mining node?
What if they pull a mob onto you, then bubble to steal it while their mob is attacking you?
Thank you for any info/advice.
Edit: of course I can report them, but will anything be done?
Happens to me all the time. You get used to it after a while.

I recall a guildie of mine reporting someone else for stealing nodes from him often during the course of a session. He reported it to a GM, who told him it was "competition for resources and part of the game."
Basically, it's intended. And, if you train mobs onto them, you can get hit for griefing. Careful about being retaliatory.

I am considering dropping mining over this,,
I find a Rich Adamantite Vein and get there first. Before i mined it once there is another player of my faction there mining on it and takes it the other 7 times.
I try to mine it again and it just say already in use.
Anyone knows how i do to Steal it back from the ninjas?
Just keep spaming Shift-Right-Click. It will work yours in there.
When running alliance, I get ganked by alliance and horde. When running horde, I get ganked by horde and alliance.
Wicked Thought: Too bad there isn't a misdirect for this.

Yeah works a treat for me that. Whenever I see johnny undead standing next to my node, I leave it on the loot screen for a few seconds and if he is still hanging around I go put the kettle on. When I come back they are gone.

Shut autoloot off... If you start mining it and see someone come up to it of the same faction do NOT loot. Just sit there with the loot window open until they move away. They cannot loot the node if you have a loot window open with the node already.

I relate this to when you're Lv35, on a PvP server, and a Lv70 ganks you repeatedly while you're questing. Yeah, you can fire back but it's not going to do anything, and you can tell Blizzard but they're not going to do much--if anything. It's a lesser part of the game but it is a part of the game. This sounds harsh and I'm not trying to be a jerk, but you're just going to have to deal with it.
After-thought here: If they're members of the same faction, you can say something in chat along the lines of "Hey, (Name), would you mind not stealing my ore nodes?" The general populous will either agree with you and bash the player or tell you to suck it up.
