I'm thinking of rerolling DK tank in wotlk.
Never played as a DK, trying to figure a few things out and read up about it a bit.. but so far I don't know that much about them.
With knowledge of just a few skills the DK will be using and seeing which talents i would benefit from whilst tanking I've made this talent build, but still quite unsure about it, so I'd like to get some feedback on it, thx!

Still hoping to get some feedback on my spec
The points in Unholy are mostly wasted. The biggest issue is that you're giving up 2 crucial talents from frost: Guile of Gorefiend (which will do much more for your DPS than Blood-Caked Blade and Necrosis combined, and also reduces the cooldown of your "Oh S***!" ability), and Tundra Stalker, mostly for the expertise, which you will need as a tank.
Also, the points in Nerves of Cold Steel are wasted because you absolute, under no conditions, should EVER dual wield when tanking. Think about it: the worst think that can happen when you're tanking is to get parried. It eliminates any damage you would have dealt, and causes a counter-attack that could potentially result in more burst damage than your healers can handle. If you go from auto attacking ever 3.4 seconds, to attacking TWICE every 2 seconds, you're going to severely increase your likelihood of getting parried. And heaven help you if you get back to back parries.
Finally you really want Chill of the Grave. Frost DKs need more Runic Power than Blood or Unholy DKs do. I would also recommend points in Butcher for just that reason.

Would a be an effective general tanking build, but also quite useful for multi-mob pulls and also as an anti-caster build.

Then its a simple manner of putting together all the DMG reduction talents in the tree you desire and then fill in the DMG increase talents to get to the DMG reduction. For frost tanks and i know a lot of you are out there that want to do it, Leave Icy Talons and IMP icy talons for a DPS Frost DK to spec into, its what they can bring to the raid, but saying that, you are always going to have Frost Fever coming up regardless of having talented into the Icy talons/imp IT, its better to focus on getting you threat gen up and DMG reduction than trying to buff the raid. It is a good talent, dont get me wrong, but for a tank it means maybe 1-2 swings extra white dmg in the time frame of the Frost Fever, but you sacrificed some DMG increase or some DMG mitigation along the way. Icy Talons and IMP IT is best left for frost DPS as the Haste is going to benefit them as they will have Haste Rating where a tank will not.
Actually Icy Talons, with or without Improved IT, is going to give a tank much more DPS than Killing Machine ever will.
Why?
Consider: KM has a 50% chance to proc off AUTO ATTACK crits. Most tanks do not have itemization for crit. So even if you have a feral druid in your group, you'll be lucky to be over 20% crit chance.
That means you get a proc off KM on only 10% of your auto attacks. If you also factor in your normal chance to crit with these abilities, then you're really only get a benefit from KM maybe 7% of the time. By comparison for a mere
1 talent point
you get a guaranteed crit every 2 minutes.
I'd also like to point out that Endless Winter is vastly superior to Acclimation for a tank: a free interrupt >> improved resistance that only procs AFTER you needed it. Frost Aura is also better than Acclimation, by the same token: it's guaranteed resistance that will be up BEFORE you get hit with a spell.

Alright, I have a question. Is the death knight capable of doing aoe dps threw the unholy spec that will keep enemys away from him like a mage, or does a death knight do aoe combined with melee damage while the attacker is on him. Thats like the only thing im unsure of about the who death knight build. Im planning to make a unholy build for my death knight that makes the aoe damage much higher then the melee damage, but not do it so much that the melee really suffers. So if anyone can answer this question, I'd greatly appriciate it, and i think it might help some others as well.

I've decided to go with frost at 70 to tank instances in Northrend. Since gear is going to be tight to start with, frost just seems to provide a bit more safety with Lichborne, Unbreakable Armor, Frost Aura, Frigid Deathplate... well you get the idea. It just seems frost will be the least dependent on having good gear to start with. Having said that here is what I threw together for a talent build:
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=j0xMZGtxtIcdoGRVost0x
I'm curious to get some feedback. I noticed morbidity in unholy reduces DnD by 15 seconds. It seems like that would be useful, but would it be worth dropping the 2pts from 2h spec and the 1pt from icy reach? I chose 2h spec for the extra threat it would provide through damage, and I took icy reach basically because I had 1pt left over.
I wasn't in the beta so I really don't have an idea of how useful DnD is. I know it provides high threat, but how often do you use it really? On multi mob pulls, I can see it being used, but with proper CC, will I really be using it every 15 seconds?
Now, I've seen some tank builds with Deathchill and some without. My reason for taking Deathchill was that I figured it would be useful for early threat generation. You can start a boss fight with a critical hit thus giving you a nice head start in threat.
That's about it for what I wanted to cover with this build. I would take a guess that most of the talents I took in frost were pretty much a given, and that the talents I discussed will probably come down to a matter of opinion and group setup/how each pull goes down.
