Blizzard has announced that they are actively in the process of rebalancing Covenant abilities. We have datamined many of these changes including updates to the DK Necrolord ability
Abomination Limb
:
Datamined Covenant Tuning
In today’s updated build of the Shadowlands Beta, testers will see a snapshot of the the process of tuning several Shadowlands systems, which is underway. We’re in the midst of recalibrating the throughput of several Covenant abilities, and while in some cases the magnitude of the change may feel large, it’s necessary to bring outlier abilities in-line with our targets, so that players can make more accurate comparisons between abilities.
Thank you for all of your help as we iterate on these abilities based on your feedback.

And they still won't be successful by the time the game launches.

Its ok we still have months to test conduits till SL launch. Not like we will fight a BiS conduit and then weeks later have it become unusable :)

I mean come on blizzard, less than a month for the release and this still not close to be done, PLZ DELAY THE EXPANSION AND FINISH IT:

Scrap it all -- fix the classes -- namely Holy Paladin !

They always waste waaaaay too much time on ridiculously complicated systems that get tons of content scrapped due to time restrains, only for it to fail in the end regardless.

This is extremely depressing to start balancing this less than a month before release.
Blizzards largest problem is spending so much time and resources on disposable features like this only for them to be fundamentally broken until halfway through an xpak, instead of focusing on features that persist through expansions.

Seems very late though
Not really. They had to balance classes and lock in changes before looking at borrowed power.

This is good to hear a month before expansion. I'm sure it'll be good to go on launch day :)

Looks more like they are in the process of undertuning them all ...

Seriously... this late they are still diddling with these things?
You would hope in the last month they'd be busy with stress testing like most do in development. That's not to say you don't find some bugs here and there and have to fix them... but balancing... seriously? It's like they never learn or constantly forget.

Why are so many people saying they should delay the expansion because of balance? When was an expansion EVER balanced in the first months?
The best way to get data to balance the classes is to release the game and get it in the hands of millions of players.
No they don't have to delay the expansion because of balance, they just have to make sure the game is working and everything is in place.

There are over 50 abilities they need to balance within 2% of eachother in all forms of content.

There's still a bit under a month until release.
Furthermore, you think the mechanics designers and programmers are the ones who do stress testing? That's firmly in the role of SysOps and Network Engineers.
