WoW Classic Roundup - Stoneskin Totem Known Issue, More "Not Bugs"

In addition to announcing the
WoW Classic Stress Test
today, Blizzard confirmed there is a bug with Stoneskin Totem...and also that there
aren't
bugs with some aggro radius and Polymorph reports. These join the long list of reports in the
infamous "Not a Bug" blue post
, one of the most popular posts of the year.
Stoneskin Totem Bug
Hello!
We've figured out that there is an issue with
. Basically, it isn't correctly removing its melee damage reduction when it expires. We've seen in examples given where the player had previously grouped with a Shaman, and carried forward the effects of the totem.
We're fixing this, and the fix will be in the next build of WoW Classic. We'll put it into our Known Issues list until then.
Thank you!
Classic Features, Not Bugs
You are unable to
Polymorph
enemy targets that are tapped by players with whom you are not grouped.
At all levels of player characters and enemies, aggro radius is set to the intended distance.

Tbh I'm glad that they feel the need to post about what isn't a bug, simply because it means that the people in the beta are reporting (what they think are) bugs.

I feel like the two people previously leaving comments didn't actually read the post. Typical retail kids always in a hurry.
Yeah, leaving elitist, arrogant comments doesn't make anyone any better, if not the opposite.
Reporting "not a bug" things is not something stupid, cause many of those "not a bugs" were caused by technical limitations and design philosophy of that time.

All it will take is for WoW Classic to highlight the wrath, cata, wod and Legion babies who expect it all given to them easy mode. This is the reality of a game that was just starting out. Personally I think they need to just go with it or get out of it if they cannot respect the foundation that WoW was created on. Vanilla Vets deserve much respect, without them we wouldnt have any other expansions!(##RESPBREAK##)268##DELIM##Buuloki##DELIM##Please keep in mind that Classic vs Retail arguments are considered off topic. Please keep comments related to the post at hand.

I can’t wait until Classic is released. Mostly because the game used to be much more rewarding (both ingame and personally) when enough work was put into it.

Why do people gloat over classic players coming up against 15 year old nuances of a game? Frankly, it really could have been a 'new' bug. I sure as heck couldn't remember all these nuances, and I doubt very few have perfect recollection of what was, or wasn't in the game 15 years ago. I might not be super excited for Classic myself, but this gleeful chortling over some faulty perception of 'sweet summer children' coming up against 'the harsh reality' is misguided and needlessly antagonistic.
Though there is also the reverse; I am sick to death of people vomiting hatred on BFA articles and how 'at least classic will fix it all'. Can't people discuss @#$% without falling over themselves to stab hatred at Blizzard, or other fans? Sheesh.

Wrong, it's been Microsoft's unofficial motto since Windows was released.

And this is why classic won’t succeed long term.
The majority of players are not “vets” and will quickly see how different things were back in the day and go back to retail.

Haha so funny, I bet everyone will be so confused when they can't poly someone who is fighting another player because that is what you do every day in modern wow. Vanilla WoW was so hard and different.
Seriously though, it is not that funny when people don't realize that Tauren hitboxes or warrior regeneration used to be different (non bugs reported before) and i bet that majority of the people that comment did not even realize how these were different in classic before the post. Anyway the fact that they are getting bug reports such as the Polymorph one is a good thing and shows that some of the testers are taking their job seriously and just don't know or remember everything Vanilla did different, nobody does.
There are things that people will find absurd and will whine about in Classic such as buff durations, buff/spell reagents, soulshards, weapon skills etc. Chill a bit with your vanilla expert goggles, you will get the actual fun when the majority gets to play Classic.

Most of those "Not a bug" were features on those "Blizz-like" private server. That why so many peoples think they are bugs. "Wait, I cannot harass someone by making his target regenerate health, must be a bug!"

Disagree. Just because Classic is for a different audience doesn't mean it will fail. The majority of Classic players are not coming from retail.

They are.
We keep hearing about "private servers", but the Truth is that, population Wise, they have ALWAYS been very smalls.
I can't tell if Classic will be a success or not, but most peoples who will try it out are defenitely retails players, or ex-retail players who stopped not that long ago (like during WoD or Legion).

Especially since this is just more and more spam and less and less relevant as beta players actually confirm the game is dope and love playing it and the love isn't just "nostalgia induced".
Most beta players are die hard classic fans/ streamers. Also while I believe most are truly enjoying, there is also the viewers bait factor involved, can be profitable to ride the wave of a trend.
If you expect that will be the experience for most players... Good luck running dungeons 24/7 with skilled players ready to group up on a whim and using voice com. Yes, I know, making friends, socializing and such will help, but won't be remotely similar. Not everyone remembering vanilla would label it as "dope". Is a 15 y old game, that will cover a niche.
