I've just installed the Wowhead client on a new system which I've updated to Win 10. I placed the Wowhead_Client.exe file inside my World of Warcraft install folder (C:\Games\Blizzard\World of Warcraft) and then ran the client, the client detected my WoW install folder and completed the install fine.
Ran the client, entered my username and password as required, checked the Live folder was correct and then clicked on the OK button. Immediately got the "Live World of Warcraft path is invalid" message. Tried clicking on the "Detect" button and I get a "Could not find your World of Warcraft Live folder. It might not be installed on your computer" message! Tried the manual search, selected Wow.exe and still get the invalid path message, so tried another manual search, selected Wow-64.exe but still got the invalid path message.
Switched on my old system so I could check the client on there, it updated (hadn't been run on that system since before the pre-patch) and I opened the options, checked the Live path and clicked OK. No error message!
The only difference between my two systems is that I never updated WoW with the pre-patch on my old system! Haven't actually played WoW on my new system yet, been busy with installing and updating etc., for WoW I just have to update all my addons with the new Legion versions and remove any that are no longer required.
Let me know if there's any other info you may need to help with figuring out what's wrong.
EDIT: Another possible problem I've noticed is that when I click on the option to create a Start Menu shortcut I get the "Shortcut created successfully" message but I can't find the shortcut anywhere in the Start Menu! Tried the Desktop shortcut option and that works, a shortcut was created on my Desktop. It's just the Start Menu shortcut that doesn't seem to get created (unless it's being created in some obscure location). I resorted to manually creating a Start Menu shortcut for the Wowhead client, but figured I should mention it so it can be looked into.

Having an issue with the in game addon. In game it causes fps drops when highlighting targets. I don't know if it is trying to parse data on each target but it caused my fps to drop by half. As soon as I turned off the addon and try to target npcs/mobs etc my fps was steady.

Running Wowhead client 1.8.31 - no update avaliable.
No files are being uploaded, or rather the creature file is I guess because of the size of the file on the progression bar, but it ends in "Invalid status code: 500"
File size keeps increasing as I play the game.
When I try update anything in the options, I get "Live World of Warcraft path is invalid".
The change happend after the latest WoW patch. There's been a few updates to Launcher as well, I believe.

Also getting the "Live World of Warcraft path is invalid." Have tried both the reg wow.exe and the 64 bit version and neither work. Any idea when this will be fixed?
Also noticed that everything seems to look like it is uploading except for the ADB files and Pages however when I look at my account it shows last upload 9 days ago so it is not updating my information.

Same issues as Annabella420.
Tho, my account shows last data upload as 8 days ago, nothing since.

My wowhead client regularly crashes in the background when I have it minimized to the 'system tray'. When i go to call it back up, i pop the little up arrow on the trash, move mouse to the wowhead icon and it disappears.
Any thing I can do to help debug this? It usually means I forget to upload data until the next time I reboot.
I occasionally dual-box and I've thought maybe that could be it maybe?
I've also been getting the "invalid path" message as people above has posted, but it still works.

ok update to my situation. It is now showing that it is receiving uploads as of now however still says live path is incorrect and will not detect so not everything is uploading. Looks like Pages, Items, ADB Files not uploading. Any suggestions?

Windows registry location for Wowhead Client options:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Wowhead\Wowhead Client\Options
If you're not familiar with the Registry Editor, you probably shouldn't mess with it. You can do some real damage in here unless you're careful. But if you feel like poking around, open it up and go to the key listed above. You'll see some stuff in it like Username, Password, and Preferences (your password is encrypted for security that's why it doesn't look like your password). There should hopefully be a string value in here named "WoW Folder", and the data for this value should be the full path to your WoW folder. If you don't have this string value, you can make it yourself by going to
Edit>>New>>String Value
, and naming it "WoW Folder" (can also be done for "WoW Folder Beta" and "WoW Folder PTR"). Then you can right-click on the value and click Modify. Just type (or better yet,
paste
) the full path to your WoW folder into the box that pops up and click OK.
Now the path to your WoW folder should show up in your Wowhead Client options the next time you open it. Yes, you'll still get the "invalid path" error if you try to make changes in the options and then click OK, so make sure the options are pretty much how you want them before trying this.
My Wowhead Client is *mostly* working now since I did this - everything has uploaded 100% except the ADB files, which are only at 40% for whatever reason.
Hope this helps. Or makes sense. Toodles.

Bag Scanner: I have opened all of my bank tabs and guild bank tabs, I can run the scanner, get the string and enter it in the website. I am not receiving any errors, but after entering the the string, it shows three tabs of the guild bank, no reagents or bank. The guild bank tabs are labeled incorrectly from what I have them labeled in game also.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it's still not working properly. Incorrect scans are being uploaded (wrong tabs, wrong items, missing items, tabs, banks, etc.).
Again, I am not getting any error messages, the uploaded information is just wrong/incomplete.

Ive started getting rep for the uploads and everything seems to be uploading except the ADB files wich are now down to 11%.

Downloaded WoWhead client. Extracted to WoW directory. Attempted to run it.
"Wowhead Client
Could not find your World of Warcraft folder. It might not be installed on your computer.
Would you like to browse for it?
"
If I choose "Yes", I can select either wow.exe or wow-64.exe, but both give the same error:
"Wowhead Client
This is not a valid World of Warcraft application.
"
Can't do anything else. Help?(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##This is mentioned as a known issue above. We're working on it.

Is there any word on the fix for Wowhead not finding installation for WoW-64.exe because it is just a little frustrating after using the client for so long?

Anyone know a way to stop the error? The game was fine until I installed wowhead looter, now, just like it's been stated, the appearance tab refreshes constantly every few seconds. Disabled the add-on, removed the software and restarted but it's still happening.
*Edited for grammar. Yes, I grammar Nazi'd myself.
