two handed weapon spec because 4% increased?....not that great.
For an investment of 2 talent points, it's incredible. Per point it's as good as the warrior's one hand spec talent in the protection tree, which is a good deal deeper down. I'll concede that a portion of your damage output will be from non-weapon strikes, but most should still have some component of weapon damage.
For my own putative talent spec, this is what I'm looking at currently:

I'm going for a fairly tankish DK who brings party utility and a vicious obliterate. Thoughts?

Depends, on any single-target killing, almost all of your DPS comes from melee (autoattack and special attacks - aka strikes). You get a small amount of damage from diseases, and a small amount from icy touch - but other than those you dont tend to use a lot of spells.

That's definitely encouraging for people intending to take 2 hand specialization. Plus, unless the devs have changed the way weapon specs like 2 hand spec work, merely equipping the appropriate weapon gives you a global damage buff. Just for an example, a protection warrior with 5/5 one hand spec from the prot tree gets 10% more damage from his shield slams and thunderclaps, even though those attacks aren't based on the weapon damage. So yeah, 4% to 2 hand damage for 2 talent points promises to be a VERY strong talent.

it wont work that way for DK's. It's all a matter of wording:
Two-Handed Weapon Specialization (deathknight)
"Increases the damage you deal with two handed melee weapons by 2/4%"
One-Handed Weapon Specailization (warrior)
"Increases physical damage you deal when a one handed melee weapon
is equipped
by 2/4/6/8/10%"

OK. Ive read alot of the post on the topic of talents. And this question is mainly directed to Thana and Visas. "But all positive opinions are welcome."
I have enjoyed leveling a Frost Mage. With that in mind what talent tree (or combination) would you say best fits this. Survivability, less Down time, is my main concerns. Im not really big into tanking. And from Ive read most of you use the words tanking and tank in the same sentence with the frost tree. So Im assuming the frost tree isnt for me?
