The view in 3d button is greyed out on each transmog set page and individual armor pages. The dropdown command on the compare page still works. Is a server down or something?

It works fine for me. Could you provide your browser & flash versions?

I am having the same issue

I'm using Chrome Version 22.0.1229.94 m and flash 11.4.31.110. I also pulled up IE (9.0.10 flash:11.4.402.287). IE is showing me the greyed out button too. Again, in both browsers the drop down option is still working using the compare tool.

Also having this problem with Chrome 22.0.1229.94. I ran a clean instance in a sandbox (no extensions, default settings, etc) and it's still greyed. Works in Firefox 16 - copying the javascript (below, in my case) from the "View in 3D" button and running it in Chrome does get it to show up, so I'm not sure why it'd be disabled.
ModelViewer.show({ type: 4, typeId: 1065, equipList: , , , , ] })
Edit:
the button works, as of 16:43 BST

I had this problem too, but I fixed it by closing and reopening the browser. Had to do it a couple times before it worked though. I imagine there's a chance of the 3d viewer not working every time the browser opens.
My browser is Firefox 16, Mac version. Quit the program before trying again if you're using a Mac browser when trying this (closing all windows isn't quitting*). I don't use Windows systems much but I think closing all browser windows is the same as quitting entirely for them. My only other guess for Windows would be a computer reboot, but hopefully that won't be needed.
*added this part because I've seen people at college use some Macs in the computer lab and leave with all windows closed but the program still open; sometimes they were even still logged into their mail and such so I'm sure they thought they closed the program.

I would like to add that this issue is still persisting. I close my browser and turn off the computer every night.

It's not just a Mac issue - it's happening to me on a computer running Kubuntu 10.04, Chrome 21.0.1180.89, Flash 11.3.31.232 (Linux, x32). All View in 3D buttons are greyed out.
This is only 1 minor point version behind the highest version available for Linux (11.4), not to mention that I'm fairly certain the version of Flash I'm using is actually bundled with Chrome right now.
EDIT:
I copied/pasted the JavaScript from Kesava's post above and ran it in Chrome's JavaScript console. Works perfectly. Seems like the 3D viewer is fine but whatever is trying to autodetect for the button is broken.

Well, after some fiddling I decided to open a new chrome window in incognito mode. The button is now available. Taking this idea further, I logged out and now the button works as well. It now also works after I logged back in. I'll wait and see if the problem returns.
Just to clarify, l mean logging out of Wowhead, not windows.
