i wasnt implying anyone had no job. i was just stating my time. just because i have a job it dont mean that i think others dont lol. i know that some people do work from home and some people just flat out have better incomes. my time at home isnt just to myself. just because i get home that dont mean i can play wow all day long. i know what constructive criticism is an i know what jerks are like too. im certainly not a rookie at this game. i know that i didnt have gems an chants. i assumed that a fresh 90 would be sufficient for an 85 dungeon. but i guessed wrong. im limiting my time to the dailies for reputation gains an proffesions, for now. by the time i get on the game, chat with my guildmates an get started, alot of times been wasted. i dont take the game to an extreme. otherwise i wouldnt enjoy it anymore. some things are appealing to me like the mounts. i dont do current content cause i cant commit to the times organized by raid leaders. so thats just how it is. an its not cause i cant do it. i have done raids in the past.
i didnt make this thread to have an arguement with someone.

Why on earth are you spending your time soloing old bosses when you still have the current bosses to explore?
I've done that sort of thing quite a bit, especially with BC stuff. I never got to see it while it was the real thing, so I went back and did a lot of it late in Cata. Aside from just seeing it, it's something you can do alone, which I like to be every now and again.

some people have more time on their hands then others, i choose to farm mounts from old raids or dungeons and collect pets. gain reputations an so on.
im paying to play this game, i can atleast enjoy it in some manner in the way i want. ive done the heroic farming non stop to get geared for raids thing. its a brain drain. id rather be smashing my head off the desk to beat a boss for a mount then the mind numbing heroics everyday 5 times a day for 1 year straight thing.
id like to start a new topic but i think theirs quite a few people reading this to prob answer me.
im just curious what exactly is the dps you guys are getting on your bears an your ilvl with no cooldowns. id like an idea of how far off i am
ilvl <-> dps
ilvl <->dps+all cd's

I emphasized the most important part of your post, namely
when
you did it. You don't do old content when you're freshly dinged. You just don't. Because as I said, there's actual current content to explore. Which brings me to my next point:
i dont do current content cause i cant commit to the times organized by raid leaders.
You need a raid leader for dungeons? Or do you not consider those current content?
ive done the heroic farming non stop to get geared for raids thing. its a brain drain. id rather be smashing my head off the desk to beat a boss for a mount then the mind numbing heroics everyday

I understand that farming them all day can be a brain drain, but I said 1 heroic each day. Less time consuming on a day per day basis, but ofc it takes longer to get geared then. At the start you can queue random, then when you're only missing a few pieces you can queue for specifics and hope the item you want drops.
All things considered though, you're right in that
im paying to play this game, i can atleast enjoy it in some manner in the way i want.
So let's just stop with telling the OP how he should play the game.
Next topic:
im just curious what exactly is the dps you guys are getting on your bears an your ilvl with no cooldowns. id like an idea of how far off i am

you mean dummy dps I assume? There's a lot of factors that should be taken into consideration:
boss level or lvl 90 dummy?
how long should the fight be?
Your actual gear, or specialized gear to max dps (especially trinkets come to mind)?

the raiding thing, i dont sign up for a raid i know i cant commit from start to finish, and usualy for me thats everday. so i dont wanna have people waiting or expecting me. our guild isnt a highend raid guild either. ill most likely just end up farming gear in H5'mans.
target boss lvl dummy 1 min fight.

Oh I forgot to add that your single target dps highly depends on how often your mangle procs from FF, Thrash and Lacerate. And it stays 25% to proc on each, it doesn't improve with gear.
Also, maximum dps or recreate an actual fight? This is especially important for trinkets and whether or not to use Maul (because in raids I only use that when I'm not actively tanking).

I am a Guardian druid and i just recently soloed Onyxia, sartharion(3DZ), Naxx (99% gluth i couldnt solo which cut me out for thaddius) and i soloed the first few parts of Ulduar ( couldnt do iron assembly or hodir) i tuckered out before i could get to freyja and mimiron and farther oh also killed auriaya... this is a response to Primehorns post... My characters name is Wildcárd on magtheridon for armory links (idk how to post that stuff).(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##Moved Kinky's post here. There wasn't any reason to make a new thread if you were just intending to respond to this one.

My characters name is Wildcárd on magtheridon for armory links (idk how to post that stuff).
Go to us.battle.net/wow/en and type your character's name in the upper right corner to look it up. When you're on the armory page, copy the url and paste it here. Like this:
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/magtheridon/Wildc
árd/advanced
I personally prefer attaching the link to other text though
I'm surprised that there are still people that a) don't know how to copy-paste a url (or didn't you know the armory website?), and b) that accidentally(?) make a new thread instead of replying to one.
Edit: no idea why the first url is only half linked, but oh well

IS there a recommended Talent and Glyph set up for soling old raids?
I main feral not too up on Guardian mechanics.
Just wondering if I can take my bear through any ICC bosses. or is Wrath content too much to solo? (ilevel 460)

as guardian wrath is very doable unless the mechanics of the fight prevent you from doing so.
few weeks back i pretty much solo'd the lich king. and i was level 90 but in mostly greens and blues from questing.
as for talents and glyhps that can vary between raids or encounters.
for the first tier i would reccommend feline swiftness in general.
second tier is down to 2 choices. natures swiftness for selfheal with healing touch+ the possibility for an cyclone or root. this is for fights were you may need an add out of the way. if not pick renewal. with the health you will have it will outheal it a lot.
third tier is rather insignificant for raiding but the best is prob typhoon since it allows you to interrupt at range and knock back trash. if there is an fight were you need to kite the fearie fire is also usefull.
fourth tier is without an doubt incarnation. not only is it an massive damage cooldown, but due to being able to spam mangle and gain rage like crazy it is also an survival cooldown.
fifth tier is to preference. bash it very usefull but disorienting roar can be used to create some breathing room. it will very likely be broken by your next trash tick however. both are ineffective vs an boss.
the last tier is down to 2 choices which both are down to mechanics. and preference. nature's vigil is an nice damage+healing cooldown. and works great when combined with incarnation.
however hearth of the wild gives an nice permanent stat boost and the ability to dps in fights were usually only the ranged can fight the boss. allowing to go caster and spam some high damage wraths to the boss. if there is nothing to tank
for glyhps that can vary widely in an fight. if you have an impale like mechanic ala dragonsoul go for glyhp of survival instincts. glyhp of maul can be used if rage isnt an issue. the faerie fire silence glyhp can be usefull if you need another silence. the range version is just for ease. might of ursoc can be used to absorb that one major hit.

so as i originaly intended for this post. the panther boss in the new ZG heroic 5 man
High Priestess Kilnara
i am now succesfuly soloing her now. mostly broken it down to a simple strategy involving los'ing a wall to avoid one of her most damaging spells.
Tears of Blood
which in my opinion is the one thing that sets you back the most in the fight

You are literally an embodiment of what is the worst in casual gamers.
Skull Bash
(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##"literally an embodiment of what is the worst in..."? Nope. There's no need for that kind of douche-baggery here. Don't do it.

If it doesn't, then it certainly should, that entire fight revolved around people interrupting Tears so the healer didn't go OOM.

I clearly remember interrupting something on that boss. I'm pretty sure it's the tears, but it MIGHT have been shadow bolt instead.

You can interrupt the Tears, and Skull Bash does work; I've used Kitty Skull Bash on her quite often.

well i could swear i tried to do it an it didnt work. but maybe i was wrong. and either way i los it so it dont matter. my los an heals method is better to me then just bashing her.

Raleandris
Why? It makes the fight last longer and adds an extra thing to keep track of. Just interrupt it and kill her and save some time.
